@BenStiller feel like we now need a character called Ben Dill-er for our pickleball board game. We already have Kim Chee, Corni Shaun… RI-Pickle who’s a ghost pepper… want a copy? Might be great research… kickstarter.com/projects/mid…
@BenStiller Btw embarrassingly while designing the board game I managed to tear my Achilles playing the real thing. If you want to see the ridiculous drama and result, it’s here youtu.be/iLYc0jnYDGk?si=qE47…
Rewatching #voyager: Neelix should have been Kes’s father figure, not a romantic interest.
The relationship is creepy & the jealousy tropes don’t bring out the best bits of either character.
A father-daughter dynamic = far more room for their relationship to grow and develop
What meeting assistant do you use?
Looking for a paid meeting assistant that:
1) Records zoom & meet
2) Records from the browser for in person chats
3) Records from mobile
4) Uploads audio
5) Summarises calls & makes them searchable
6) Doesn’t have crappy limits like @otter_ai
@sembly_ai almost ticks the boxes but the ui is super outdated and takes far too many clicks to do basic things
@tldview and @read_cmo look cool, but looks like it needs to be in a meeting and can’t record from the browser, mobile, or uploads.
What else are people using?
🤔Can any phone experts explain how a iPhone on airplane mode with Wi-Fi off still is able to update timezones while flying?
I’ve noticed it twice now crossing the Atlantic (watched it go from BST to AST to EST) and am curious how it’s able to do that with airplane mode on.
🚀 Founders: Do you join communities hosted on platforms like MightyNetworks and Circle or do you gravitate towards more workflow-friendly ones?
What's the best community platform out there for private communities?
Any up & coming ones worth a look?

Let’s talk about how Twitter’s surprise redundancies likely broke UK employment law, what Twitter employees can do about it, and what is likely to happen next. 🧵
Super valuable advice. Founders & VCs should take note.
Great example from @NilsPratley of a broken design masking a tax break. If Shell isn’t paying anything as part of the windfall levy because of allowances and opt outs then there is clearly something wrong with how it was designed. theguardian.com/business/nil…
Why is #applenotes so crappy at syncing? I lose hours of work all the time when opening a previously write note on a different device. This seems so utterly basic folks. At least give an option to see version history.
This show needs to have at least 20 seasons. Can’t wait for the crossover! #LowerDecks #StarTrek
🧵We all want the Scottish tech ecosystem to thrive.
To do that, as @Mark_Logan1 says, we need to double down on what works.
That needs open and constructive feedback.
A group of us founders have made founderssurvey.com to highlight what's working and what's not.
Up 1st: Scottish founders' view on the investment landscape.
Who are the best investors in Scotland?
What's working & what's not?
Who are the top Angels, Family Offices, Syndicates?
The best deserve awards. The ones that need work, need to hear why.

.@Spotify throwing shade on the #EdinburghFringe running an ad in Edinburgh… bold.
Dumb, but bold.
Great food at #turingfest but obviously needs some heat! Sounds like a job for my on demand cayenne pepper that forms a crucial part of my #edc! (Also pepper, salt, first aid, screwdriver, lots of batteries and of course a flashlight that doubles as a usb stick!)
Listening to @tessapettman chat about the thinking that’s gone into Transferwisr becoming @Wise really looking forward to this because it’s a change that’s been interesting (and sometimes confusing) to watch. #turingfest
Day 2! Moving fast by @Padday from @intercom - super interesting company and 2 mins in already some great hot takes. #turingfest
