Yesterday @OpenAI dropped one of the largest updates to it's APIs including a #GPT-3.5 variation with 16k context length, reduced prices and a new functionality called "Function Calling" which can potentially replace @langchain 's tools functionality.

Historically this has been a repeating pattern in the evolution of #AI where one approach is over prioritized and hyped so much to the point that it indefinitely fails.
Guess it's the same pattern now with larger models with only more neurons

Historically #DeepLearning has been going through these phases of low attention. But although some approaches like supervised learning cannot scale to achieve #AGI. That does not mean deep learning as a whole is in demise.
