A thread on Land from Haki R. Madhubuti:
"The only thing that nobody, nowhere is making any more of is 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. Earth as food producer, as life sustainer, is not priority in the minds of Black people in the United States.
In fact, land, the precious non-multiplying life

A thread on Assata demonstrating the limitations of national liberation struggles and the importance of a global liberation struggle:
"I think the concept of land is limited. I think that the liberation of Afrika is important to Afrikan people over. But I don't think I see it

I got so accustomed to waking up and posting a book a day during Black History Month that now I'm going through withdrawal on this first day of March so I thought I would post this classic by one of my favorite authors, the legendary Dr. Haki Madhubuti. Powerful book!

Sandra Turner-Barnes was always so generous and kind to me. I will miss her dearly. Every time I saw her she would greet me with a warm hug and smile. Here’s two of her poems that I published in the February, 2017 issue of Whirlwind Magazine. Rest In Peace Sandra.
