Having twins is like being a uni student. 1. You are constantly broke 2. The house is always a mess 3. You sneak back to bed at every opportunity 4. You say “fuck it let’s have a drink” more than you should 5. You’ve never been happier #twins #parenting #dadoftwins – at Chesterfield, England

bbc.co.uk/news/business-6721… Why are fewer women using AI than men? Probably because they have realised there are more interesting / important things to do with their lives than fiddle about with computers.

God I hope I’m doing a good enough job of bringing up my children that they know to avoid utter nonsense like this. – at East Midlands, England
Here's my conversation with Mark Zuckerberg, his 3rd time on the podcast, but this time we talked in the Metaverse as photorealistic avatars. This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. It really felt like we were talking in-person, but we were miles apart 🤯 It's hard to put into words how awesome this was for someone like me who values the intimacy of in-person conversation. It gave me a glimpse of an exciting future with many new possibilities and fascinating questions about the nature of reality and human connection ❤ Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 0:52 - Metaverse 15:27 - Quest 3 30:16 - Nature of reality 34:54 - AI in the Metaverse 51:51 - Large language models 57:49 - Future of humanity

I’m buying a new house and my sense is that conveyancing solicitors need replacing by AI soon. Their job isn’t difficult but they make it so. Computers should comprehensively eradicate the sector, and be allowed to do so. – at East Midlands, England

🚨Breaking🚨 Have finally made contact with my 84 year old dad in Greece. He made it from his room to the sea at approximately 11 am. He proceeded to have a short dip and then read a book on a sun lounger for a while. He did mention something about a light breeze. One hopes this isn’t an indicator of some more deadly climate change coming. He moved from the beach to the taverna at approximately 1:30/2pm (We are still awaiting precise times) for lunch. He said the food was very enjoyable (possibly better than last year) He had some some retsina. We are all praying he managed to get his flip flops on for the arduous trip back to his room for a siesta. For those of you scoffing that the climate emergency is confected by the same people who drastically overplayed the scale of how dangerous Covid is. I urge you to share this story of what living through summer during “Cerberus” is like on the ground, from someone who is actually living through it. It’s time to put political differences aside and stop summer in its tracks. We must aim for zero summer by 2025. 🙏🏼

I think we are now post LCP, FID CLS...
This is an *actual* photo of Google's new quantum computer (not MidJourney) It can complete a task in 6 seconds that would take a classic supercomputer 47 years. I am excited (and a little scared) about the pace of progress with computing and AI. It's gonna be a wild ride.
