“I’ve never slept in any house I bought with my own money. If you do, you’ll become too relaxed. Despite being in a beautiful estate, I still live in rented apartments and pay rent. When I pay ₦50 million a year, I use that pain to keep grinding harder.” —Ola of Lagos

It’s not outside the realm of possibility for certain facets of this analysis to be correct. I recommend everyone watch “Soundtrack to a Coup d’État”. The documentary focuses on how the Eisenhower administration in collaboration with the King of Belgium, used jazz and Black American artist including Louis Armstrong and Nina Simone as a smokescreens alongside CIA operatives to divert attention from the assassination of Patrice Lumumba, the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Congo… It has since been ranked by many organisations as one of the best documentaries of all time. Learn your history. primevideo.com/detail/0TSHJH…
Afrobeats And Its Links To US Secret Intelligence Have you ever found yourself wondering why Afrobeats - the joyful soundtrack to the "Africa Rising" era from the late 2000s through the early 2010s - seems to have lost much of its energy and lustre of recent? Does it seem to you like the music no longer belongs to the fans and has become a distant, expensive product that nobody can relate with anymore? You are not imagining it - in fact the reality of what has happened to Afrobeats is a lot darker than you would possibly imagine. Far from just a fresh music genre that embodied the sounds and aspirations of a new generation across the continent, it has been coopted into the arsenal of the US government's extensive foreign influence and interference tools. In fact, your favourite Afrobeats artist, as incredible as it sounds, most likely now has a handler permanently assigned to them by the US State Department. In this special report, The Spearhead Senior Reporter Mckay Chukwu examines a story that has been hiding in plain sight for years, detailing the State Department's well-funded cultural interference infrastructure which has been deployed all over the Global South to bend entire populations and their governments toward the foreign policy goals of the US government.

I have seen a trend on TikTok where parents are saying when they realized they lost their connection with their children. The stories there are heart breaking 😭😭😭😭 . There is one that I found particulary sad , it says a man went to pay school fees and found children leaving for a school trip . He was surprised because his son never mentioned anything about that school trip , he found him in the class room alone reading a book . The son said he knew he would have said no and didn't bother. Another one always thought his daughter was a quite girl , he took her to his sisters over the holidays and told her as much. When it was time to go pick her up ,he could hear her from the gate laughing and talking . Turns out it years of telling her to shut up had made her quite. Her sisters husband was more laid back and never complained when the children played around him . After a few days of being quiet she learnt it was safe to talk and play around the house.

I’ve MC’d an event where the bride’s mother walked up and landed the planner a heavy slap in front of guests. The engagement was scheduled for 1pm. By 12:30pm the decorator was only just starting to bring items out of the van, and the caterers had not even arrived at the venue. Tension rose so fast that family members were already calling the police and talking about having the planner arrested. The worst part is that all of this happened because the planner kept being too soft and polite, even after several vendor meetings where everyone had agreed on timelines. She was just too soft!!🤧 See ehn, People will not hesitate to destroy your name and your business if you are not firm. That is why I always advise planners and anyone managing a team to stay strict while the work is still pending. You can smile and be friendly after everything has been delivered successfully. Every successful event planner I know operates this way on site. It is not wickedness. It is simply being serious enough to get the job done before the clients start looking for someone to blame.
Nigerian event planner faces backlash over the way she spoke to her workers in a video she shared online. What do you think?

That 'Girlfriends' episode where joan kicked toni out had one of the most impressive confrontation scenes ive ever witnessed on television, especially between friends These type of situations between are usually a little teary and all, but the way Joan was so calm and collected the whole time was just so fucking raw to me😭 “I’m tired of explaining to people what’s good about you when I’m not even sure myself” 🤧💔
🤝 Paid partnership
What movie has the greatest final confrontation?

Michael Jackson should’ve explored voice acting more. He had a natural gift for bringing a character to life.
35 years ago today Michael Jackson voiced Leon Kompowsky on an episode of The Simpsons, while his singing voice was done by Kipp Lennon who also provided the singing voice of “Michael Raisin” in the California Raisins commercial and “Michael Jackstone” in The Flintstone Kids “Just Say No” special.
