if you want to help me not fumble the bag, you can make a tax deductible donation to Song A Day Studio:
songaday.studio
I am proud to be part of @thepark's new non-profit initiative! And I can accept crypto thanks to @endaomentdotorg.
I am working on a way so that if you contribute with crypto at a certain level, I'll automatically send you a soulbound edition of my song each day. Look out for that!

“patron gets cultural influence, intellectual stimulation, or simply the satisfaction. more wealthy ppl should do this”
Patronage is the apex luxury product
one of my good friends has a large billionaire patron who sponsors his content & is largely hands off. this means he doesn’t have to run specific sponsors or ads on his platform that feel unnatural & disruptive.
from a strict creator monetization + livability perspective this seems like the cleanest model for content creation.
i.e. creator can focus entirely on producing interesting work & the audience gets an undisturbed experience. the patron gets cultural influence, intellectual stimulation, or simply the satisfaction. more wealthy ppl should do this.
wait wait wait
so you’re telling me there’s a world computer that exists everywhere and nowhere, that no single person or company owns or controls, that anyone in the world can use, that anyone can deploy software to without asking permission, that’s been running continuously for over a decade, that processes billions of dollars in activity daily, that has tens of billions of dollars sitting inside permissionless contracts, that lets complete strangers exchange money and assets without trusting each other, that lets developers build on top of other people’s applications without even talking to them, that enable a type of networked generative art that’s never been possible before, that has no CEO, no business hours, and no off button?
nice.
