life can be depressing, unpredictable, and exhausting enough as it is. you don't have to make it harder by feeling guilty every time you need a break. you are allowed to enjoy being alive without having to justify what you're doing with your time.

never thought i'd get into manga, let alone be invested enough to keep reading one for hours, but here i am reading berserk. funny how a series i picked up out of curiosity has me reconsidering an entire medium i never thought i'd care much for.

at this point, nothing matters. ai is taking the jobs, the economy is cooked and the entry level positions are disappearing. it's time to buy some land in the mountains, grow my own food, and become the mysterious old guy nobody's seen in 20 years.

Claude writes about 90% of Claude Code's code. From June to September, merged PRs more than doubled while the share reverted fell by more than 40%. We wrote about how we changed code review to get there, and how to adopt it: claude.dev/blog/solving-code…

interesting ecnomics, there are 245m adult us citizens, $5k each is $1.2t. and the funding mechanism is still pretty vague. trump has suggested tariff revenue would fund it, but note that at the relevant revenue levels, tariffs would take more than 6yrs just to generate $1.2t.
If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America, $5,000! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!

This $5,000 “Trump Dividend” promise was first made in Sept. 2026. Similar prior DOGE and tariff check pledges have not been paid out. It would cost ~$1.2 trillion and require congressional approval. pbs.org/newshour/polit… washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…

not even mentioning, how a trillion dollar payout would almost certainly worsen inflation leading to higher interest rates.

"ah the president of unites states, yeah, that's me"
Yesterday at the White House, leaders from across our industry came together to sign the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. The principle is simple: the companies building this technology have the primary responsibility to develop and deploy it safely, and to be accountable when they fall short. The Accord reinforces that responsibility with robust internal controls, independent external evaluation, and board level oversight. Super Intelligence offers an extraordinary opportunity to advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity. The future of Super Intelligence will be shaped not only by what it can do, but by the confidence it earns. By building with ambition, rigor, and responsibility, we can help ensure this extraordinary technology expands opportunity and improves lives for generations to come.

then i came across a clip of bleach and got hooked by the art, character designs, and the idea of immortal beings clashing. just finished tybw, and i loved it. funny how one show can make you reconsider an entire medium you thought you weren't interested in lmao.

i was never really an anime person. the animation style, the character designs, the overall aesthetic. none of it ever clicked for me. i tried to understand the appeal/hype, but it just wasn't my thing.
