Duct taped vimrc, bash and AppleScript together and now my desktop background cross-fades to a random image on :w
I’m excited to replace every consumer appliance’s awful beeping with warm R2-D2 chirps, or silent push notifications
I have no idea how Opus 5.5 slings hundreds of thousands of lines of code at like 7% weekly usage but I am not complaining, this is fantastic. Let's go
Let me tell you a story
Last night I go to sleep, right
Siri says I slept 7.18 hours

Reducing real costs with AI in a business is a people problem. But maintaining real costs with AI while increasing margins through growth happens without the people even being aware of it. A lot of businesses are the latter, and the hockey stick here is going to be astounding in another 18 months
“There are a lot of hungry people in the world, Mal, and none of them are hungry 'cause we went to the moon. None of them are colder and certainly none of them are dumber 'cause we went to the moon.”
“And we went to the moon. Do we really have to go to Mars?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“'Cause it's next. 'Cause we came out of the cave, and we looked over the hill and we saw fire; and we crossed the ocean and we pioneered the west, and we took to the sky. The history of man is hung on a timeline of exploration and this is what's next”
me: so I need a train, and some snow
Vermont: sure
me: also I need everything to feel nostalgic, like watching This Old House with your dad in the 90s
Vermont: We can do that
me: and I need a libertarian spirit the size of Texas, but gallivanting across the whole state feels as proximate as a day at Disney World
Vermont: you’re not gonna believe this
Salesforce taking a year+ to integrate is the feature, not a bug. They orchestrate plausible deniability on timelines in exchange for future monopoly pricing while the executives warm up the operations team to the inevitability their workflows will change
“An LM is not a child, it's a machine, and a machine doesn't have a soul. We may yell at our toasters and give names to our cars, but in the end a LM is just a collection of wires and circuits and nuts and bolts. I don't know.”
if C. S. Lewis was back for one day, and he asked me to help him understand AI, I would walk him through his own story in The Magician’s Nephew.
The reflecting pools offer materialization of any world you ever imagined, or could not have imagined
they raise great subconscious fears of becoming lost in them for all who gaze in. We learn who always—and never—had the strength to wield such power; we see, in the pool’s reflections, others’ deepest acceptance or rejection of magic
I have a protocol for Claude and my terminal window to talk to each other. Claude sends dangerous commands for me to run directly where I can monitor the output realtime. Shell sends failures back to Claude via hooks. It’s way lower friction than copying and pasting
It's poetry. Art and math all working in magical synchronicity. It's the perfect game.
