This is why I push back on the "it's not antisemitism, it's just criticism of Israel" nonsense. A few years ago, this woman probably never would have considered holding such a sign. If you went back in time and showed her this picture, she wouldn't have believed it. And yet she holds it up proudly now because she has been convinced by a narrative that claims she can say whatever she wants about Jews and it's fine. In fact, it's not just fine, she's morally superior for doing it (in her own head). Allowing these delusions to fester unchallenged is going to be catastrophic for Jews.

Jews weren’t welcome in Cable Street 90 years ago. And we’re not welcome now either! Never again? Pah! It is happening again. We’ve seen how easy it is to get people to hate Jews. It didn’t start with the camps. It started with stirring up hatred. And see how easy that is to do! Just say Zionist instead of Jew and it’s easy to make people hate us all over again. And many people fall for this. Because as Goebbels said, tell lies often enough and people believe them. But I think some people always wanted to believe lies about Jews. Now they have permission! And oh how they are enjoying the dopamine hit they get from it!

My brave husband @adammaanit has just left to be volunteer security at our synagogue in Brighton. It is the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur. Last year a crazed Islamist terrorist attacked a synagogue in Manchester and two Jews were killed. As he left the house I said “I love you” with added layers of anxiety. The Jewish community shouldn’t have to deal with this. It’s shameful they do.

Nobody thinks every baby tumbles from the womb as the same smooth little statistical marble. Nobody. That is the straw man Nathan needs because the real argument is harder, messier, meaner. People differ. Populations differ. Traits travel through families. Fine. Biology exists. Bravo. Now comes the bit with teeth. Show your working. You cannot point at Congo, point at Japan, stare solemnly into a microphone and whisper nature. Those countries carry centuries in their bones. Empire. Extraction. Famine. Fever. War. Wealth. Schools. States. Sanitation. Capital. Calories. Colonial borders carved with a ruler and a gun. History is not a haunted fog drifting over the data. It is the bloody data. That is the trick here. History becomes “mystical injustice” while heredity gets dressed as hard-headed realism. One explanation must crawl through broken glass. The other strolls in wearing a lab coat, polished, powdered, pre-approved. And what exactly is “the average Congolese”? Average across which peoples, languages, regions, classes, diets, childhoods, diseases, schools, wars and migration histories? What exactly is “the average Japanese”? These are nations, not breeding colonies. Political borders are not genetic petri dishes. If you want to claim that observed social gaps are substantially caused by inherited group differences, then demonstrate the causal chain. Define the populations. Measure the traits. Control the confounders. Establish the genetic mechanism. Replicate the result. Separate signal from story, science from sermon, evidence from elegant little vibes. Do the science. Because “the world makes no sense unless biology did it” is not biological realism. It is a bedtime story for people who find history inconvenient, inequality irritating, and causation rather more complicated than a podcast clip can comfortably carry. A little hereditarian hymn. Same tune, sharper suit. Nature did it. Nothing to see here. Case closed. Curtain down. Cue applause from the clever.
"The world makes no sense if you think everyone is born exactly the same." @KonstantinKisin asks @nathancofnas what motivates him to tackle controversial topics despite pushback from all sides. His answer: ignoring natural group differences forces society to blame "mystical injustice" for inequality, meaning there will be no peace until we accept biological reality.

As a Palestinian living in the US, I realized from day one that far too many of those who claim to be “fighting for Palestinian freedom” in the West are nothing than grifters who exploit our suffering, turn our cause into a trend, and use Palestinian pain to build their own platforms, careers, and audiences. And the moment Palestinians themselves challenge their narrative, criticize Hamas, reject authoritarianism, or refuse to fit neatly into their ideological worldview, suddenly our Palestinian voices are no longer welcome—or worse, we are smeared as traitors for daring to think and speak for ourselves. Here’s what’s never been asked, seriously, inside this so-called “pro-Palestinian” movement: what do you actually stand for? A democratic Palestine? Free speech? Political pluralism? Equal rights? A two-state solution, one state, peace — or just permanent war rebranded as “resistance”? Do Palestinian lives matter when Palestinians are murdered, tortured, imprisoned, or silenced by Hamas? Do our freedoms matter when the oppressor isn’t Israel? Do Palestinians get to decide our own political future, or are Western activists going to decide it for us while shouting slogans thousands of miles away? Palestine is not your revolutionary cosplay. Palestinians are not props for your ideological fantasies. And our suffering is not a career opportunity. If your “solidarity” requires Palestinians to shut up whenever our experiences contradict your politics and narrative, then you are the one who should shut the fuck up.

1/9 In August 2025 Zarah Sultana MP tweeted she was ‘loudly & proudly’ anti-Zionist. I commented that she was, rather, an ‘evasive antisemite’. She replied: ‘Delete and apologise, otherwise you better lawyer up. Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism. The smears won’t work this time.’

I cannot stop thinking about Jack Lees choosing to swim back into the rip for the third student. On 4 June 2024, at Northcott Mouth in Cornwall, three young women were caught in a powerful rip current. Jack and his friend Zaid Anfoka helped two out of the rip. Jack then went back for the third. He stayed with her for about 40 minutes until she escaped the current. All three women made it back. Jack, 20, did not. I feel heartbroken by what his courage cost him. I think Britain should know his name (I wish more people did). Had you heard Jack’s name before?

On This Day — August 15, 2005 Israeli soldiers and police began forcibly removing the last Jewish residents from Gaza under Ariel Sharon’s Disengagement Plan. Almost 9,000 Jews from 21 communities were evacuated. Families were carried out of their homes. Synagogues were emptied. Greenhouses that had been built over decades were abandoned. Sharon called it one of the most painful decisions of his life. After Arafat rejected a Palestinian state and launched the Second Intifada, he concluded Israel had no partner for peace. He argued the withdrawal was necessary for Israel’s future. What Israel received in return was not peace. Hamas was elected in 2006. Within a year, it had murdered and expelled its Fatah rivals and seized total control of Gaza. The territory Israel had just left was immediately transformed into the most heavily fortified terror enclave on earth. It became a dense, complicated network of attack tunnels and a launchpad for tens of thousands of rockets aimed at Israeli civilians. The Disengagement definitely did not lead to peace or quiet. It delivered years of rocket fire, kidnappings, and ultimately the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on October 7, 2023. Israel tried negotiation. Israel tried unilateral withdrawal. In return, it received more savage violence.

How does butchering a disabled girl and her Dad “Free Palestine”? May we never forget 🕯️ Rut Perez who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy was brutally murdered by Palestinians on October 7th along with her father Eric Perez. A father taking his disabled daughter to a music festival that was focused on peace. This is what the “Pro-Palestine” movement celebrates. There is no way I will ever let those who called October 7th a “resistance movement” forget what they are cheering on. Pure evil. May their memory forever be a blessing 🕯️🕯️

How can anyone march alongside these idiots?
"October 7th was one of the greatest days of my life." The way he smiles as he says it makes me sick. 1,200 innocent Israelis were massacred by Hamas. Anyone celebrating it is pure evil.

On This Day — August 13, 1942 Switzerland officially decided Jews were not worth saving. Swiss authorities ordered that Jewish refugees already inside the country or reaching the border be forced back, mostly into Vichy France and Nazi hands. Official policy was explicit: only “political” refugees could enter. Those fleeing “on racial grounds” (Jews) were not considered political refugees. Thousands were turned away and faced certain death. Switzerland knew what awaited them. They did it anyway.

So on Saturday, I was in Liverpool and I stopped at a pro-Palestine street stall in the shopping district for a chat. As always - I wanted to know what these activists were actually telling passing members of the public. What followed was extraordinary. 1/6 ⬇️⬇️⬇️
