The Delaware Wing-T is not a formation. It is not simply buck sweep or sally or belly. It is a complete SYSTEM. It is a high octane, in your face, make defenders question their life choices, sniper precision, waltz of warfare… and we LOVE IT.

We appreciate CJ Carr for taking the time on Fanta in 60 to talk all things @NDFootball. His thoughts on the win over North Carolina, what he's improved upon, the NFL QBs he idolizes, what people may not know about Marcus Freeman, ping pong, Good Will Hunting and more:

LSU was supposedly great because they blew out Clemson. That's the same Clemson who is 64th in FPI efficiency with the 109th ranked offense in college football. By the transitive property, Ole Miss was supposedly great because they beat LSU at home.
Florida was supposedly great because they handily beat Ole Miss (42nd in FPI Efficiency) at home, and Florida got talked about as a likely playoff team by a bunch of pundits.
Missouri will now get sunshine-pumped in the polls because they blew out Florida at home - the same Florida that is 77th in FPI defensive efficiency.
(By the way - Florida's chances of making the playoff are now lower than Nebraska or Northwestern. I have a sneaking suspicion that won't be brought up by very many people)
Alabama's offensive dominance has been racked up against the 30th, 35th, 44th, 82nd, and 91st rated defenses.
Kentucky's two SEC wins are by a total of 11 points against the 40th and 57th teams in FPI efficiency.
Baylor beat Arizona State on the road by a bigger margin than Texas A&M beat Arizona State at home.
Nobody launders overrated wins into undeserved AP votes quite like the SEC.

ANEYAS WILLIAMS.
Williams opens the second quarter with a 22-yard touchdown run.
Notre Dame is rolling in West Lafayette.
Irish 14, Purdue 0.
Just send Kirk home. This has been one of the best commentated ABC games in some time. Didn’t realize there was a constant annoyance all these years.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Navy football going full Marine Corps with the Semper Fidelis uniforms?
That blood stripe. 🩸😮💨

There was a time we tried when we were beginning and it was too much then. Now the word is in the sports lexicon??? Yeah, we’re here for fun, not policing word usage. Plus everyone has their own definition too. So to them. It is. To us? Our routine.

From an elite CFB personnel exec who’s won a title, unsolicited:
“If you need another comment, I’d add:
As a family, if you’re even considering this as a means of getting recruited, it represents either A) an issue of simply not being good enough to generate D1 recruitment on your own and/or B) such a lack of knowledge and awareness about how the recruiting process actually works that any type of exposure would serve little to no purpose for the athlete.”
College football GMs warn against paying for Rivals evaluation: ‘They’re just trying to make money’ awfulannouncing.com/college-…

Plenty of people have expressed their opinions on this, but what do actual college decision-makers think? Here are 3 quotes from current general managers in college football.
P4 GM: "Exposure has never been easier. College summer camps, summer combines/camps, increased unofficial visits, larger game day visits, easy access to putting your film online (HUDL). Most kids that aren’t being recruited by the schools they want to be isn’t a visibility issue; it’s a talent issue. High School families don’t need to be paying to get evaluated. They should start with their HS coaches and find out how to become a better football player."
P4 GM: "They’re just trying to make money on the dreams of the players who wouldn’t get recruited anyway. Are there now more spots for FBS teams to take players? No. They’ll just rank more players who paid for it, but the opportunities don’t expand. The number of scholarships given out by programs remains the same. Excited for the meltdown because On3 is a market driver for NIL and this opens the door for families to pay them to rank them higher for more NIL."
G5 GM: "To me, it's all stupid. Anybody who's paying for these rankings or evaluations is already in the wrong. The priority should just be to be a really good high school football player, and you're going to be recruited, and you're going to get ranked.
"Are these parents even going to listen when they get a rating back that says they're an FCS-level player? Probably not. They'll probably just spend more money trying to change what they are. They'll keep spending money on things until they get the answer they want to hear, but the film isn't going to change from Friday nights."
Rivals is charging high school athletes and parents $499 for an 'evaluation' by a Rivals scout.
The fee includes a scouting report, grade, film evaluation, coach interview, and consideration to be ranked on their site.

A Notre Dame tight end catching the first touchdown of the NFL season has to be a good sign

1 more day til @QuinnHenicle and @ODUFootball kick off the 2026 season.
D-I athletics right now:
• UCLA: $219M cumulative deficit
• Rutgers: $516.9M in cumulative shortfalls since joining the Big10
• Iowa State: $147M projected budget gap
• NC State: $18.5M projected deficit
• Dozens of varsity programs eliminated in the last year
• New fees passed to fans
More money than ever, still not enough.
Fewer opportunities. Greater instability.
This isn’t what college sports should be.
