Whoa

Not good...and no real rain chance till Monday #fox61

Wednesday forecast, with humidity behaving....all good :)

A look at rain potential this week - storms this afternoon, followed by lots of sun and humidity on hold till the end of the week! Join me thru 11am on the @fox61news #Fox61 Morning News....

Done. Friday.

And your cardiologist will be singing "Don't you.....forget about meeeeeee".....

Thank you for the compliment. I thank myself for choosing willingly to stick my stomach out and look even tubbier than I am.

You dropped something, Mr. News Anchor.

Could it happen? Aiming for 74 in Hartford (Not a chance on the shoreline) #fox61 #themattcast

Lots of temps below freezing out there, watch for icy spots on the (still) wet roads - esp in the hill towns. Oh yeah, then near 50 degrees for a high today. And, uh, more snow maybe this weekend. Full deets now thru 11am on #fox61 Morning News #themattcast

We haven't changed the forecast accumulation map much all week. It's just too warm at the surface to accumulate. Will more than 1-3" (liquid equivalent) fall? Perhaps. Will it amount to more than 1-3" on the ground? Not likely, except in iso high elevations. #fox61 #themattcast

#sleetstorm22 is underway, keeping snow estimates down and driving conditions tough. Lots of closings/delays at fox61.com What are you seeing in your neighborhood? Share your observations! On now thru 11am #themattcast on @fox61. #fox61

Best news of the day. Congrats to the one and only @jennbnews.

(2/2) This post has nothing to do with reading other posts who dump on the same men and women during weather events. Let's try and assume that they're doing the best they can in these situations, and not squandering tax $$$. K?

(1/2) Let me take a sec to thank the men and women with the thankless job of doing their best to keep our roads safe as possible during winter events - the DOT. It ain't easy to watch over miles and miles of roads - often while the rest of us are sleeping. Thx for being there.

Getting reports of some snow showers, and a little freezing rain this morning during the AM commute - what are you seeing? Let me know! Thanks!

Happy National Weatherpersons Day - even if there’s only a 30% chance that anyone cares .

I don't envy school superintendents today. Not at all.

Here's a side effect of the Nor'Easter that we didn't see coming: ESPN is reporting that Tom Brady is RETIRING. Now back to the storm coverage.

CONFIRMED : Blizzard conditions in New London County
