I'm on a quest to find every American family business that's been open for 100+ years & tell their story. So far, Zambelli Fireworks (1893), Tabasco (1868), McGregor's Furniture (1896), and Balboa Island Ferry (1919).
New stories every week on Substack & YouTube. Follow along!
A city of Brewers. A lifetime of believers. ⚾🍻
I built CREWTOBER to help fans find their people—and their place to watch.
Milwaukee roots. Wisconsin pride. One state. One Crew.
Find your bar. Find your Crew.

Once we know who the Brewers will face (@RaysBaseball or @CleGuardians), I'll include a section for fans traveling to those cities for the best spots.
I was born in Milwaukee in 1980. These days I live out of state, but I still want to experience this ride with fellow Brewers fans.
Not everyone can be at the ballpark. We can still make memories together.
Find your Crew—and share this to them!

Ok, Milwaukee — for those coming back “home” what are the best, must-visit bars and taverns to watch the World Series?!
Pretty sure you can poach a free agent from the @Dodgers?
I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff. You won’t know every field I work in. What matters is how quickly you learn, the questions you ask, and whether you can think from first principles. You’ll help evaluate opportunities and work with founders building consequential companies. Technical background preferred. Three-year commitment. Menlo Park, in person. In the final game at County Stadium in September of 2000, Bob Uecker with these powerful words that still ring true...
"Tonight, is the final curtain. It's time to say goodbye. We will never forget you for what was, will always be. So long old friend. And good night everybody."
This @Brewers pennant represents:
The corner taverns
The brandy old fashioned sweet
The Friday fish fry line out the door
Squeaky curds
Supper clubs and relish trays
Every bubbler in the state
@KwikTrip at 2 am
Kopp's, Leon's, and @culvers
Sheboygan brats
Racine kringle
Door County
fish boils
Deer camp
The Racing Sausages
Bernie's slide
County Stadium
Harvey's Wallbangers
Robin Yount and Paul Molitor
Kenosha, Wausau, Oshkosh, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Rhinelander, and every town with one stoplight and three bars
And most importantly, for Ueck
Milwaukee, WE have a World Series. #winourway
This description about the writing process …. 🫠
"I found writing a book is just a series of existential crises punctuated by, like, brief moments of self-belief, which evaporate the moment you sort of get to the next page."

The best logo in @MLB paired with the logo of the 2026 Fall Classic. Am I dreaming?
Brewers fans, think about this truly astounding stat: Never in the history of team sports has this happened. The @Brewers swept a team in a best-of-seven series that swept them in a best-of-seven series the previous year.
This has never happened in the NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL. Never.
