Commitment levels at amateur football has to be at an all time low. Lads turn up when they feel like it or if mrs hasn’t planned something. Other players promising to join but don’t or touting themselves at semi pro clubs happy to get a tracksuit instead of playing..sad times!

What an excellent day. Really well organised and it was fantastic seeing so many kids teams enjoying themselves. Very impressed with the @thelanefc U13s winners 👏🏼🏆

Following a pitch inspection by Nigel Marriott this afternoon's game at home to Fleckney has been called off due to standing water in the bottom goal area. Hopefully back in action next week
Congratulations to Rugby Borough well coached and clinical finishing did for the Lane who battled gamely but if it wasn't for 18 year old keeper George Sinkinson it could have been worse #bouncebackabilityrequired
A goal 8 mins from time by Lane Legend Ryan Rowley was enough for the Lane to gain a hard fought 1 0 win in blustery conditions at Sileby this afternoon #backtowinningways
Goals win games and Desford despite the Lane having 75% of the game took theres. Going a goal down after 15 mins the Lane laid siege hitting the post 3 times but stoic defence and good keeping kept the Lane out. Desford to a man gave 100% and despite a last min penalty won 2 1
Goals from Elias McIntosh and Jamie March earnt the Lane a 2 all draw against a hard working Glenfield Utd despite the Lane playing with 10 men for 67 minutes when McIntosh was red carded as last man. Good point #upthelane
