Bengaluru-based Ethereal Exploration Guild has set up a 150-acre rocket development and engine testing complex in Space City, Andhra Pradesh.
The facility would support Razor Crest Mk 1, its fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle.
The vehicle will use two semi-cryogenic engines - Pegasus, an 80 kN upper-stage engine, and Stallion, a 1.2 MN gas-generator booster engine.
The firm has already deployed $3 million (around Rs 29 crore) in the facility.

They helped take India to the Moon and Mars. Their collective contributions include Chandrayaan 1, 2, & 3, Mangalyaan, and Aditya, alongside the PSLV, GSLV, and LVM3.
Full reusability still poses problems they had never encountered before. Each with 30+ years of experience, they shaped the judgment behind innovation and invention. The rationality behind our audacity.

Diversified asset classes in the most valuable real estate today, that is orbit, are important. It's not wise, and nobody wants to try to create a world where it's just cheaper for anybody else to buy a service and resell it because 1 operator holds the major chunk of the destination and access to it; or do we?
Once India’s consumption of a Starlink equivalent or Starlink per se begins, you know the numbers will be higher than anywhere in the world. Principally because, with no such sovereign/indigenous equivalent existing to begin with, the cons/strategic disadvantages in a volatile geopolitical world today far outweigh the pros.
From a government’s perspective, it is a looming/apparent threat for any country to have a dependency that big without any counterpart that is indigenous given the use cases are wide and the tap can be shut off at any moment. We’d like to see India and the world have more choices in orbit.
India is building and will have its own equivalent. Period. Maybe then the competition begins, when the birds get to orbit. Perhaps then, is the time to allow competition.
Everyone loves an underdog; until it aims to compete. That's been the story with India for the most part. So the mass sentiment is valid. If that makes a few people uncomfortable, god bless.
The ridiculous arguments by Ambani’s army of Internet shills make no sense
On the one hand, they say Starlink couldn’t possibly compete with the amazing low prices offered by Ambani’s de facto monopoly in India and then, in the same breath, they essentially claim that Starlink would be too strong of a competitor! This is absurd hypocrisy and hyperbole.
The reality is that competition would greatly benefit the average citizen in India by giving them more choices, as it always does. Ambani’s profits will be lower, but he is not going out of business. And, obviously, if Starlink is too expensive in India, no one will buy it, so SpaceX will need to make pricing affordable.
It's an honour to build capacity for a nation; to be building a new chapter in India’s launch vehicle infrastructure at The Anchorage.
Around our upper stage and booster engines, Pegasus (80 kN) and Stallion (1.2MN), we are building the infrastructure required for a new rocket engine cycle (FSCC) and a class of high-thrust semi-cryogenic engines that only a handful of nations have developed.
What you see here is only the beginning.

Ugh, had to break the walkthrough into 2 parts; too long otherwise. Part 1 (today): the briefing and facility specs. Part 2: the workings of the facility with our engineers (integration, sequencing, etc.).
Our co-founder and CEO @manu_j_nair on things so far at The Guild and a peek at what's ahead with @OfflineOnAir.

Phase 1 Walkthrough: 30.09.2026

Tomorrow, we will share an early glimpse, with footage captured in July, as The Anchorage was taking shape.
As much as we would like to share a detailed walkthrough of the Anchorage tomorrow, the team is currently focused on ground-test hardware integration, infrastructure, and site work. Filming a detailed walkthrough at this stage would interfere with that work.
Detailed walkthrough: 30.09.2026.
