Donte Whitner on what fans want to hear from the 49ers on their past draft mistakes: “All they want to hear is someone from the 49ers take accountability. They want to see someone get up there and say 'We know we haven’t drafted well. We know that. We’re trying to figure out why and we’re going to do everything in our power to figure it out', because accountability is number one when you’re chasing a championship. And fans haven’t heard that. All they hear is 'We have this process and we trade back', we’ll get outside of your process, adapt somebody else’s, so that we can have some success drafting players and ultimately win a championship.” 🎥: @thegritcode

Donte Whitner, NaVorro Bowman and Patrick Willis give their takes on the 49ers latest acquisitions Bowman on Greenlaw: “I think early on it’ll be a great thing. To get everyone hyped. The morale of the team hyped, but we all know it comes down to doing it. Dre’s had some health concerns. Then we got Fred Warner coming back off of injury. But the men that I know, I know they really are coming back with vengeance.” Donte on Kirk: “ I know a lot of people don’t like him. I think this is actually going to be one of their best free agent pickups this offseason.” 🎥: @thegritcode

Donte Whitner says the 49ers need to trade for Maxx Crosby: “He [Fernando Mendoza] ain’t gonna be shit. They need to get Mac Jones over there. Mac Jones, a first round pick and a second round pick for Maxx Crosby. That puts you in position to compete with the Seattle Seahawks.” via: @thegritcode | @DonteWhitner
