“Ukraine is fighting for its survival. Starshield, a vital lifeline, has been slowed, while Putin continues to bombard Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles.
Congress was clear: this is no time to ease the pressure on Putin. It is time to increase it.” -@SenatorShaheen

Sanctions relief will continue. I think the diesel deal and the move regarding the Lindsey Graham Act are not the end of it. Unfortunately.
It’s unfortunate because we all had great respect for Lindsey. He devoted his life to America. We had an excellent relationship with him. And shortly before the tragedy, Lindsey was in Ukraine. He always supported us very strongly and pushed for as much assistance to Ukraine as possible.
It’s difficult without him, I’ll be honest. I want to thank both Democrats and Republicans who supported his bill. That was a major victory: this truly bipartisan support. And now, the decision to undo all of this, to block all of it, seems wrong to me. And it definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people. This certainly does not stop the war.

Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."

The impacts of AI are too great to leave its regulation solely in the hands of private companies, especially when their CEOs are also sounding the alarm on the significant risks presented by their own technologies.
That’s why I am urging U.S. congressional leadership to take immediate action to confront the unprecedented risks posed by the rapid development of AI.
@AnthropicAI releases have sped up even more sharply than OpenAI. The cadence stayed at roughly one release every four months through 2024. It then started compressing in mid-2025, and in 2026 it roughly halved again.

iPhone Duo just turned into a real book and Samsung had 8 years of foldables to think of this.
Two pages. Side by side. No crease down the middle. You read it like an actual book, not a folded tablet with a line through every sentence.
Samsung Fold owners been reading through a crack in the screen for 8 generations and calling it innovation.
Apple did it first try. Follow, what I'm posting next about Duo will end Samsung fans.

One of the coolest parts of building in open source is that sometimes I’ve had a feature that I wanted to add but I’ve been putting off, and one day I check the pull requests and it just magically turns up from a contributor.
So far it has already happened for audit logs, SAML SSO, slash commands and some smaller stuff too.
Another cool thing is when someone tells me they have been running Mike on their own. At TechLaw.fest I met a GC who told me they run a fork of a fork of Mike. I hadn’t even heard of the fork they forked from before.
📷 Twenty-five years, and it still feels like yesterday.
These two short films are a reminder of something worth holding onto: when the moment demanded heroes, ordinary Americans answered — without hesitation.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Nobody has broken more stories or had better access than she has for @Newsmax over the past 4.5 years and it’s not even particularly close.

Sean Penn came to Kyiv for Ukraine's Independence Day. And at one of the events in the capital, he met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In these frames, the actor found himself right beside the President, and instead of blocking the view for the audience, they both simply crouched down on the floor. Greeting each other, talking, laughing — like old friends.
