It’s been awesome building with @capitaltruist and the whole @falconer_ai team. Don’t burn tokens making up new shit everytime there’s a question— the best answers are inside your company already — @falconer_ai brings you the answers you need when you need them.
Trillions are pouring into the race to build the first general superintelligence, but leveraging your own specialized know-it-all is now possible as of today. I built the knowledge systems at @stripe and @uber. Then I helped Anthropic, Metronome, and Graphite build a killer developer experience. Everyone wants Stripe-level quality, but that bar is too low. Falconer gives you and your customers complete, specialized intelligence: an internal knowledge base and external documentation in one beautiful package. Falconer is the ultimate trust engine to manage your context: self-driving, observable, and agent-friendly. I co-founded @falconer_ai with @mbenedetto212 and assembled a team of know-it-all builders. We're backed by fellow know-it-alls @thegp, @BoxGroup, @svangel, @karimatiyeh, @benln, @zachlloydtweets, @CeciStalls, @MerrillLutsky, @scottmac, @malthe, and @adamjstevenson, with angels from Anthropic, Stripe, Meta, Cursor, Replit, and more. Frontier intelligence companies like @FireworksAI_HQ and @⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛; fintech companies like @payabli and @vori; and healthtech companies like @thatch_ai use @falconer_ai because they all share the same vision as us: the knowledge you earn should belong to you. Now you can know everything, so you can build anything.

Every company is about to have more AI agents than employees, and both are useless without knowledge they can trust. Dave built that layer at Stripe and Uber. Falconer brings it to everyone including Fireworks Thatch, Payabli and many more. Proud to be backing this team

NEW: The Executive Search Operating System. We spent weeks putting pen to paper to capture what matters most in executive recruiting. Written by @joshhhua, our Head of Talent who previously led recruiting at @RobinhoodApp as it grew from 30 to 4,000, this guide lays out a 4-phase framework for running an executive search. The core idea is that search is a loop. Every conversation should sharpen your understanding of who you need and strengthen your candidate pool. The guide gives you concrete tools to answer one question every week: Is this search actually working?

Many VCs will give you tactical advice on how to run your hiring process without ever hiring anyone at any scale. We operate a little different and have folks on the team who've led recruiting for critical roles at top companies - in this case written by our Head of Talent who previously led recruiting at @RobinhoodApp as it grew from 30 to 4,000. This guide lays out a 4-phase framework for running an executive search - the entire loop from mandate definition to close. Worth a read as you build your exec team: thegeneralpartnership.substa…

Our team says they took weeks to capture what matters but it's really decades of aggregate work across the top companies in tech. startups are bad at hiring and despite capital amounts, it remains the largest bottleneck.

First 45 accept decision notifications just went out for Vibecheck, the formal methods hackathon. We have space for 75 people at the @thegp office, and are going to do accept decisions in batches, so that we can fit as many people as possible (whoever says no in batch N, opens more slots for N+1). If you haven't applied yet and fill out the form on fmxai.org/vibecheck we will consider you for the next batch! We are optimizing for a very diverse group of competitors with many backgrounds and interests, with a particular emphasis on folks with little to no FM experience. Can't wait to see you in SF!

Proud to share that @TurbineOneTech is now the subject of a @HarvardHBS case study. 🎓 "TurbineOne: Navigating Growth on the Front Lines," written by @bussgang and James Barnett, is being taught in Launching Technology Ventures, the HBS elective that has trained more than 2,500 founders and startup operators over fifteen years. The case goes back to one of our earliest and hardest decisions. In 2022, we had our first major Defense contract within reach, but not the facility clearance to do the work directly. Take the fast path as a subcontractor under a prime, or hold out to own the customer relationship and risk the deal entirely? It's a question every defense tech founder eventually faces, and one where the traditional startup playbook doesn't always hold up. Thank you for telling our story and for having me. It's an honor to see TurbineOne's journey become part of how the next generation of founders learns to build. #HarvardBusinessSchool

Today marks @thatch_ai's 5 year anniversary. 5 years in, here are the 5 lessons I keep coming back to: 1. The right team matters infinitely more than the right idea. 2. Separate your ego from your hypothesis, and you’ll value “getting it right” over “being right.” 3. A great culture is simultaneously intense, reasonable, and kind. 4. A powerful mission changes you before it changes the world. 5. Integrity is always the correct business decision in the fullness of time.

Excited to have @thegp be part of bringing all these builders together in San Francisco for a formal methods hackathon - @bencmejla @dpup will be there along with others from our team - will be great. Signup Now: fmxai.org/vibecheck/
We’re organizing Vibecheck, a formal methods hackathon with some of the best folks in the space - @maxvonhippel, @qd_forall, @nolanlwin, @jessemhan, @emiyazono, and @workersio. You’ll get a weekend to build real production software, and formally verify it. We’ll have people who really know their stuff around to help, and you can come with a team, find one there, or just hack on something yourself. We are glad to have a phenomenal group of sponsors, including @harmonicmath, @mathematics_inc, @theoremlabs, @thegp, @omnicom, @primeintellect, @astriolabs, @buildwithparty, @wearerandomlabs, and @lanyon_ai, as well as some more we will announce in the coming days! If you’re a hacker, a formal methods person, or just someone who thinks “how do we know it works?” is an interesting question, we’d love to have you. Signup Now: fmxai.org/vibecheck/

Buying and deploying proprietary data is critical for the next frontier. But when it comes to buying real data from real people, trust is the first step in making sure the largest supply of real-world data can move into training as efficiently as possible. @integralprivacy ensures that your data will be monetized the right way. useintegral.com/get-paid

The momentum at Q-Labs continues - they are going deep on scaling -- and finding that this new axis of computational depth is a massive opportunity. Great work @industriaalist and @akshayvegesna (cc @thegp)
We think computational depth is the missing scaling axis, i.e. we should be doing a lot more deep learning! Every other axis has been scaled by OOMs over the past few years (params, data, sparsity, test-time reasoning), but depth has been stuck at ~100 layers since GPT-3. We've found that LLMs are both *severely* depth-bottlenecked and bad at using the depth they have, and that architectural interventions that lift this bottleneck efficiently lead to gains that increase with compute. w/ @akshayvegesna

Last week, we raised $108M to build a healthcare system people love. Today, we’re sharing why. We believe people should have more choice in how their healthcare dollars are spent. We call this awakening the Health Consumer.

Healthcare costs keep rising and employees want access to treatments like GLP-1s, which is exactly why Thatch is experiencing 7x YoY growth: the shift to consumer-directed health has reached its inflection point.

Our portfolio company, @thatch_ai, is today announcing its $108M Series C at a $1B valuation. The most impactful technology companies solve matching problems—riders with drivers, travelers with places to stay, listeners with music, vendors with payment sources. Healthcare is also a matching problem. It may be the largest, most personal and most consequential one in the U.S.
