Thank you to ARMY who are sharing the RM x SFMOMA pieces, Joon’s writing, & their personal experiences. As an east coast artist who cannot make the exhibition at all, I’m heartbroken I can’t go but I’m really enjoying seeing the art through your eyes and reading your thoughts! 💜

i’m not the type to feel art, at least not in the way i could feel music or when taking photos of what i see. i tend to intellectualize what i see (i love me a back story). probably not the right way to approach art but is there a right way? (if there is pls show me) — RMxSFMOMA exhibit scratched an itch i didn’t know i had. everything in the exhibit has a story (even the non-story is a story, no?); whether it was Namjoon’s relationship to the art or how he relates to it or the story of the art or the artist itself. i have so many thoughts on the art pieces, the exhibition, & the curation; some i hope to share with you. all in all, RMxSFMOMA was amazing & i will be visiting again soon 💜 i leave you here with my favorite painting: Woman 여인 by Kwon Okyon 권옥연 “this woman is nobody’s portrait” (wow @ description) this woman does not exist she lived in the artist’s mind, now lives in the art, & in those who’ve seen it
