3/ It can be true that CC0 is in the spirit of this space AND that artists should be able to choose what is best for their work. Using GAN, I grasp the benefits of open licenses deeply--& have considered CC0 for my own work--but the spirit of this space is also creative *choice.*

Like seriously if it's not CC0 I'm not buying the NFT. I don't care how cool the community or art is. I didn't know what CC0 meant 5 days ago, but now it's literally the most important thing ever. CC1? NGMI CC2? NGMI CC3? NGMI No CC at all? Unreal.

Baseless DMCAs are regularly used to silence creators, especially anonymous ones. They can be countered, but the financial burden often leads to fair use art not being defended. Happy to see RCST reinstated, but the root issues remain. CC0 changes this. foundation.app/@VincentVanDo…
