Hey all, it’s been a while since I’ve posted any new clothes. I assure you I’ve been busy being creative, but alas not with the Candi Factory. All these years (28 of them) of participating in One of a Kind and making kick-ass underwear, etc, have been a true joy….
I will absolutely miss the madness of OOAK. I will 100% go into shock the day I need to buy underwear from some place else (so weird!). But I will mostly miss the funny, sweet, heartwarming interactions with all of you. You’ve kept me laughing all these years.
Two days ago I visited the oldest synagogue in Europe, in Barcelona. It’s a tiny basement room that could hold maybe 20 people comfortably. You have to duck down, to literally shrink, to get in the door. Cont’d in comments…
As the world stands by and tolerates, or celebrates, Hamas and their proxies, and their goal of Jewish annihilation, I stand tall as a proud Jew.

The contrast was visceral.
Today is the 3rd anniversary of October 7, the darkest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust. I was always Jew-ish, but as for so many of us that day changed me forever.
It was built in the 12th century, and when the little sign outside is taken down at closing time, no one would know it was there. That was the point.
That same day I also visited the Sagrada Familia, the tallest church in the world. It gets 5 million visitors a year.
I was supposed to be in Chicago this weekend for RiotFest. The torrential rain forecast scared me into skipping it, so I’m doing this instead:)
Bummed to miss hanging out with friends (& William Shatner!) but trading 60,000 people & rain for my lake is pretty good consolation.
