my girlfriend knows that new year’s eve has been & always will be a huge trigger for me since i got sober so we make snacks & do face masks & play card games & laugh.. she makes sure we still have a good time without partying & being fucked up & i’m just so thankful for my baby – at Iowa, USA

alcoholism in young people needs to be taken more seriously. stop normalizing blacking out 5 days a week. coming from a 23 year old recovering alcoholic, trust me when i say that it stops being fun after awhile. rock bottom is very, very real. break the cycle before it breaks you
