We are proud to announce that our membership voted UNANIMOUSLY to ratify a three-year contract, our union’s first.
More details to follow. We’re extremely grateful for all of the support you’ve shown us throughout the last 2.5 years of bargaining and escalations.

CLICK-IT LINE: We ask that you not cross our digital picket line by playing any of the NYT Games (Wordle, Connections) as well as not using the Cooking App. You can continue to read @Nytimes news content.
Solidarity with these workers! No crossing the digital picket line during the ULP strike. That means no clicking links, no wordle, no connections, no crossword mini, etc.!
We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.

Today @JDVance crossed our picket line w/ an op-ed in the scab @PittsburghPG. They have insulted working people for years. WE are who can hold them accountable.
To join us on the front lines of fighting bosses today, will you donate to our strike fund?

It’s a huge day for our striking workers. The @pittsburghpg faces a federal judge today to account for its years of lawbreaking toward strikers with @cwaunion and PPPWU production units. It’s been a long time coming, and we’ve got strikers and supporters rallying outside.
On 10/22/24, StoryCorps suddenly laid off a shop steward and other CWA 1180 union members in an overt act of retaliation.

“The surge in cases we’ve received in the last few years is a testament to workers knowing and exercising their rights,” says @NLRBGC Abruzzo.

.@nytimes mgmt has slow-walked bargaining & attacked the @NYTGuildTech every step of the way since workers first announced their intent to unionize in '21.

If your boss won't let you evacuate: Convince as many coworkers as you can to all leave together & contact us right away
You have the right to organize & leave an unsafe worksite. If they're not bluffing & still try to fire you after the storm, we'll help you fight it

We have authorized a strike at @nytimes, and we need your support to help us win a strong contract with fair and equitable pay, serious job security, and that protects hybrid and remote work! gofundme.com/f/nyt-tech-stri…

The longshoremen are getting a 62% raise because having a union allows them to exert the leverage necessary to be paid what they are worth. The difference between a 62% raise and "shut up and go back to work" is having a union. You better unionize.

The dockworkers top pay rate is $39 an hour, which is just over $80k a year. They start at $20 an hour
I get that there has been a lot of misinformation about dockworkers' wages, but even if they doubled that, it wouldn't be anywhere near a $250k salary

When truck drivers pulled up to the picket line at the port of New York today, it was solidarity on all sides. When we support one another's strikes we build worker power for all of us.
