One thing I've noticed while running a book box business: sometimes the nicest part of buying a book is having someone else choose it for you.
Hey @grok
If you were an author, what fictional book would you write?
I know that we can’t always spend our days reading in a field of flowers, but maybe start a new book this week; one that’ll take you to a faraway land…

Our theme at the book case this month is “red riding hood” and it got me thinking about why so many fairy tales take place in forests…the woods are almost never just a backdrop, they’re pretty much always where ordinary rules stop applying.
Traditionally, the forest sits beyond the safety of the village. It’s unfamiliar territory, filled with danger and temptation.
At some point, everyone has to leave the familiar path and find out what they’re capable of.
And that’s why I think these stories have lasted so long…the wolves and the witches change with the times, but a fear of stepping into the unknown is something we all understand 🐺
