For everyone wondering why I have not been posting any reviews, I have been dealing with serious health issues since January and the reviews and site have had to be put on hiatus. I really hope to get back to doing what we all love as soon as I can.
North by Northwest (1959) โ Hitchcock at his finest! ๐ฌ
Cary Grant as an ad exec mistaken for a spy? Pure perfection. From kidnapped to framed for murder, the chase never stops. The crop-duster scene? Iconic. The chemistry with Eva Marie Saint? Electric.
Espionage + romance + suspense + stunning cinematography = must-watch. Plot twists keep you guessing till the end.
If you love Hitchcock or Cary Grant, this is essential viewing.

Four lonely women escape to a Portofino castle in Enchanted April. Stunning visuals, solid performances, and a hopeful endingโbut the meandering plot and underexplored characters left me wanting more drama. Worth it for the scenery alone? ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐น

The Mandalorian & Grogu wisely keeps it simple: a self-contained bounty-hunting adventure with heart, grit, and Din/Grogu chemistry. No galaxy-reinventing, just a fun two-hour contract. All That Heaven Allows (1955) is a stunning melodrama about love vs. social expectation. Douglas Sirkโs colors, Jane Wymanโs inner conflict, and Rock Hudsonโs authenticity make it unforgettable. A classic that still resonates. ๐๐ฒ

Waking up alone in space with no memory? Project Hail Mary is a tense, heartfelt sci-fi thriller. Ryan Gosling carries the film with humor and panic, while an unexpected emotional core sneaks up on you. Old-school effects. High stakes. A must-watch. ๐๐ญ

What happens when a traumatized boy from a gangster family is taken in by a Kabuki master?
You get KOKUHOโa film so immersive the leads trained for 18 months to perform it all themselves. Itโs hypnotic. Itโs gorgeous.
Has anyone else caught this yet?

Pluribus asks: What if happiness was a mandate?
Season 1 is brilliant, but itโs also a patience test. The lead is abrasive, the desert is gorgeous, and the satire is biting. Not sure how to feel about that 2027 wait for Season 2 though...
