Town raises $108 million at a $1 billion valuation to bring AI assistants to entire teams.
The AI startup, founded by former Plaid CTO Jean-Denis Greze and former Google AI product leader Tony Vincent, has secured a Series B co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures.
But the bigger news isn't just the valuation.
Town is expanding its AI assistants, called *Townies*, from individual productivity tools into a coordinated network of workplace agents.
Each Townie connects to its user's email, calendar, documents, and workplace applications.
Now, these assistants can communicate with one another, exchange permitted information, and hand off tasks across teams.
Town also supports shared workflows, allowing organizations to update processes across employees' assistants.
Since July, the company reports:
• 4× growth in paying customers
• 9× growth in paying teams
• Thousands of businesses using Townies daily
The opportunity is significant.
AI has made individual employees more productive. Companies like Town are now betting that coordinated AI agents can reduce the friction between employees, departments, and business systems.
The next phase of enterprise AI may be about making entire organizations work more efficiently—not simply helping individuals complete tasks faster.
*One founder. Zero employees. Nearly $19 million in annualized revenue.
AI startup Polsia is challenging what it takes to build and operate a technology company.
Founded by Ben Cera, Polsia uses autonomous AI agents to handle software development, marketing, research, customer support, and other business operations.
In May 2026, the company announced $30 million in funding at a $250 million valuation—with Cera as its only human worker.
By September, its reported annualized revenue run rate had reached approximately $18.7 million.
An important distinction: roughly $11 million represented recurring subscription revenue, while the headline run rate included other transactions.
The bigger story isn't simply the numbers.
It's the emergence of AI-native companies where founders can delegate increasingly complex operational work to coordinated AI agents.
Could this fundamentally change entrepreneurship and the traditional relationship between company size and employee count?
Polsia is an early test of that possibility, although customer retention, profitability, and agent reliability remain important questions.
Ex-Slack leaders have launched Scuba with $34M in funding.
The startup is building a shared memory layer connecting teams and AI agents across tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
The bet: smarter AI needs better organizational context.

An OpenAI engineer has been arrested for allegedly planting a covert recording device in an executive conference room.
Investigators also allege that AI tools were used to research recording equipment and meeting-room locations.
The case raises a bigger question: How secure are frontier AI companies against insider threats?

Google just made personal Android apps a reality.
As of today, anyone with a standard Google account (18+) in supported markets can vibe-code a native Android app in Google AI Studio and install it privately on their device through Google Play — no paid developer account required.
These apps land in a new Personal Library. They stay private, don’t appear in search or recommendations, and are only visible to you.
It’s a clear shift from “there’s an app for that” to “there’s an app for me.”
In the coming months, you’ll be able to share these personal apps with a small circle of friends and family. Later, you can graduate a successful app to a public Play Store release after a full review.
Still early, still limited (U.S. first, client-side only for now), but a meaningful step toward making app creation more accessible.
Are you planning to try it?

Something genuinely interesting is happening in Nigerian gaming right now.
Lagos Life went viral, more browser games are appearing around local experiences, and AI is making it dramatically easier to turn culturally specific ideas into playable products.
In this edition, I look at why this matters beyond one viral game—and why Nigeria could become an important case study for the next wave of AI-assisted game development.
Google + Unity just made a very important AI move.
Google launched Playground today: describe a game, AI builds it, play it in your browser, iterate by chatting, then publish it for others.
Later this year comes Unity Spark — higher-fidelity 3D, advanced mechanics, Unity's runtime and Asset Store integration.
And Google already lets Playground creators export their complete HTML/JS/CSS + generated assets.
Roblox is building AI game creation.
Meta is building AI game creation.
Now Google + Unity are coming in together.
AI has already lowered the barrier to creating text, images, music and video.
Games may be next.
The creator economy could be moving from “everyone can make content” toward “everyone can make interactive worlds.”
BREAKING: Google has unveiled Gemini 4 Argon, its new frontier AI model for complex software engineering, cybersecurity and enterprise work.
The twist: Google isn’t broadly releasing it yet. Initial access is limited to selected cyber defenders.
And it arrives just one day after OpenAI DevDay 2026.
OpenAI DevDay 2026 showed us what may come after the chatbot.
Dots. GPT-6.1 Sol. Agents. Plugins. MCP Events. Spaces.
The bigger story: ChatGPT is becoming an AI work platform.

ElevenLabs Launches Eleven v4 and Turbo TTS Models.
ElevenLabs has rolled out Eleven v4 and Eleven Turbo, its latest text-to-speech models focused on higher-quality voices, greater control, and faster generation.
Eleven v4 currently leads the Artificial Analysis TTS Arena Leaderboard with an Elo score of 1,319, performing particularly well in pronunciation, customer service, and entertainment use cases. It also supports 90+ languages, expanding its usefulness for global voice applications.
For applications where speed matters, Eleven Turbo brings latency down to around 100 milliseconds, making it particularly suited to real-time conversational agents and interactive voice experiences.
Both models also offer advanced voice cloning from as little as 10 seconds of audio, alongside more precise control over tone, emotion, and delivery.
Eleven v4 and Turbo are now available across ElevenCreative, ElevenAgents, and the ElevenLabs API, with ElevenLabs also offering a limited-time credit promotion for users testing the new models.
