I almost died a few short weeks ago. I didn't realize what a bad way I was in while it was happening. I mean, they never told me the blood I was expelling from my body like The Shining elevators was putting me at risk of death post-surgery. But it was. Obviously.

It's half the size of a normal rny stomach, which they often compare to that of an egg. Since the revision I've been nauseous and starving all the time but I can't stomach most food. I was 180ish in hospital, 176 upon returning home 5 days later, & 169 yesterday a week after that

It's really turned eating into a constant struggle. I don't get more than a bite or two past my mouth before getting full. I effectively have to do the thing they teach you not to do with rny and basically graze from here on out because I can't keep losing.

I love how threads upon threads of Twitter with incels telling women to keep their legs closed instead of getting abortions. Or choose better men? How about men? BE BETTER.

Went on a 5+ mile bike ride for the second day in a row. The new $40 Norco is so excellent but the chain fell off during my ride and got wedged between the frame and gear wheel. I thought I was SOL when I got the chain loose and refit it on the gear.

More than that, it's the control I feel over my very universe when I'm able to problem solve on the simplest of bike issues is tolerable. Gone, is the feeling of helplessness I feel about my health on any given day and instead it's replaced with achievement.

And for someone with OCD and anxiety among my mental health challenges, I can function in the microcosm of my existence. And that's something that biking gave me, too.
