Movie night 🍿 Ichabod & Mr. Toad, which I've watched every year since I was born. The kids aren't sold(exceptmy youngest), but it's pure nostalgia for me. Swapped Kirkland for AMC popcorn, scored a Holiday hot chocolate dispenser at Hobby Lobby, and my sourdough pizza is resting in the kitchen 🍕 Fun fact: Cyril the horse is my favorite character. Cyril and Kush were my top two picks for naming our kids, but my wife blocked both. And my son just told me his favorite is Cyril too. 💯 #MovieNight

🥊🎬 STREET FIGHTER REVIEW 🎬🥊 ⭐ The Rexter Scale: 8.2 ⭐ 🍿 Total movie experience: 10/10 Street Fighter hit me right in the childhood 🕹️ I sank SO many quarters into this game, then even more hours when it hit the SNES. In high school I was even playing for cigarettes in a small home gambling, school-ditching operation 😅 Guile was my first love 🪖, but I rolled with the characters nobody else wanted: Chun-Li, E. Honda, Blanka and Dhalsim ⚡🐘🧘 What worked 🙌 Seeing them all on the big screen was a blast 🎥 Hearing the phrases from the game had me grinning like a kid 😂 There were "AHA!" moments sprinkled throughout, and the age-old question of who gave Sagat that scar is FINALLY settled 👀 (No spoilers, you'll know it when you see it!) What didn't 😬 Bison gave me major creeper vibes. Something about that character was just off. And I came in expecting a Karate Kid-style tournament 🏆 and felt a little shortchanged there. The theater experience 🍿 The crowd made the night! I saw 3 other Guile buckets in the house 🙌 A cfew people pointed with smiles at me with my bucket as inwas eating popcorn from my guile popcorn bucket hat and One guy asked how much mine was, and when I said $41, he scoffed and said " inwould never paythat much for that!" . I wanted to say, "What are you even doing here, bro? Respect The Culture, This is for the fans!" 😤 But I heard my Mom's voice: "Be nice, Rex." So I laughed it off and stayed nice 😇 I LOVE when the merch is this fun, like the Guile bucket, the light-up Heart of Te Fiti bucket, and the Digger boot 🪣✨ Real talk 🙏 I always want MORE. Food, drink, dank , even movies. I crave constant stimulation, and I'm working on it. This movie was enough, and that's a me thing, not a movie thing. 🎬🍿 STREET FIGHTER NIGHT AT AMC, BRAH! 🍿🎬 Strolled in tonight with cotton candy already in the system 🍭 and spotted the Guile popcorn bucket. The concession crew was cracking jokes with one guy about the TikTok trend of wearing the bucket on your head, and when the stranger asked if I was gonna do it, soon everybody was asking. I said "shux, I'm here to make memories, Let's GO!" 😤🔥 They CROWNED me right there with 2 big scoops of AMC's freshest popcorn 👑🍿 Steady head all the way, only spilled once in front of the elevator. Sorry AMC ❤️😂 My sister and bro-in-law met us there and everybody loved it! The guy from concessions ended up in our row and we chatted before the trailers. Turns out he's a fellow A-Lister 🎟️ and when we found out, we both kinda squinted at each other 👀 My brother said he didn't know what was happening, but he could see something was going on, like we were putting on airs 😂 I told him, "G-1 is MY seat! I sit there ALL the time!" Now I know who's been ganking these seats 🕵️‍♂️💺 All in fun though, great to meet a fellow A-Lister! 🤙 Then my sister brought Mochi Crunch from Hawaii 🌺 and I got a video of my bruddah adding it in 🎥 Popcorn, soda, and mochi crunch? Perfect night. The movie review is coming 👀 but THIS is why I love the theater: the bruddah, the sister, Family even the new friend, the concession crew, the auditorium staff, even strangers pointing as I ate popcorn off my head 🤣 Goofy, fun, memorable. 🍲 Plot twist after the movie: stepped out of the theater to overcast skies and wind blowing and thought, "Perfect day for soup!" ☁️🌬️ Then on the way home, my phone buzzed. Mom: "Beef barley stew on the stove." 📱😮 Say less Fam. I headed straight over! Next thing I know she's loading me up with bread and butter 🍞🧈 and I'm like, "No can, Mom. I stay on one diet." 🙅‍♂️ Then she comes out with ice cream 🍨 and Jello 🍓, a favorite of mine since forever. "No can, Mom." Her: "CAN! Get fruit inside, so yes you CAN!" 💪😂 Not fighting it. 🏳️ I'm so grateful to have my Mom and Dad alive and well, and to still enjoy Mom's home cooking. 🙏 There will be plenty of time to not eat my mom's food in the future, but for now, while she's here... 🎬 Just caught Angel and the Badman at AMC Superstition 12! 🤠 Rolled in last minute, grabbed my popcorn 🍿 and Fanta Grape Zero 🍇, and yes, it was SO hard not to grab anything else! But I resisted. I gotta be strong if I wanna live to watch more movies 💪❤️ Big thanks to AMC for cranking that AC ❄️ I settled in, felt good and cozy, and as the lights dimmed, our escape starts.....Now 🎞️ Verdict: 8.5 on The Rexter Scale ⭐ Westerns (and games like Red Dead 🐎) are a nice break from our tech-heavy world, a reminder of that old, wholesome, simple life. 🌾 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family friendly? I don't recall any swearing, nudity, or adult situations. You get old-fashioned fights and shootouts (no over-the-top gore), drama, humor, suspense, and a little hoped-for love 💕 Plus a few "awwww" moments sprinkled throughout. 🥹 Would I watch it again? 🎬 Just got home from seeing Digger in IMAX, and I had the WHOLE row to myself! 🙌🍿 Tom Cruise did a great job 👏🔥 and I enjoyed the film. I was locked in and engaged the whole time 👀 ⚠️ Heads up: quite a bit of swearing 🤬, but no nudity or adult situations that I noticed. Just vulgar words thrown around throughout. 🎬 Solo matinee at AMC today! The fam's in Maui 🌴 so I'm making the most of the quiet and catching Verity. Not my usual genre, but since joining A-List I've been stretching my movie boundaries 🎟️ And Anne Hathaway sealed the deal. I started paying attention after The End of Oak Street, then she turned up in Odyssey too. Deciding factor 🙌 Snacks? Now the review. Honestly? I got it 🎄 Once I understood that Jack just LOVES Christmas, I was like, okay, this guy has heart. Would I watch it again? Not sure, it's still a little creepy to me. But it's a decent movie and I'm glad I went 🎃 Best part was waiting for our Uber after. My son asked who my favorite character was and who I'd be. I said Jack! He told me HE'S already Jack, so I can be the Mayor. He even tried to convince me the Mayor is good. I said "If he's so good, how come you no like be the Mayor?" He says, "Cause I'm already Jack, so you gotta be the Mayor." Brah... Went in a skeptic, came out the Mayor.

Took my kids to see The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D at AMC Superstition 12 🎬 I've been dodging this movie for years. Stitches and creepy faces, not my thing. But it's fall break 🍂 and the kids were so hyped, so I went to be a good sport 🎃 First I got played by the blankets 🛋️ My son lit up like I was buying one for him, so of course I did. Then my daughter wanted one too, so back down I went. Told the kids to use the bathroom before we left. Just before We got to our seats with arms full of chicken tenders, popcorn 🍿, Red Vines and drinks, my son says "I gotta go bathroom." Back down we go. The universe had my cardio in mind again that night. Also solved a mystery. I always wondered what that short railing in the theater was for. Turns out little kids climb out their seats and stand at it like they're at a concert 🎬

🕷️🎬 Spider-Man Round 5 at Superstition 12! 🎬🕷️ Yep, you read that right. Round FIVE. 🙌 But this time I brought my son, because HE has never seen it yet! 🍿 The theater was empty... until I looked up and BAM, strangers in the seats next to us. 😂 Good thing it's my son's seat and not mine! 🪑 Now let's talk snacks. 🌭 I RESISTED the chili cheese hot dog! 💪 Not letting that undo my walk today. 🚶‍♂️🔥 But then I spotted something at concessions... 👀 Fairlife chocolate milk! 🍫🥛 Obviously I grabbed one.
