I really don't think there's a greater feeling than receiving a response from the client all but saying we're good (minus minor revisions).
what am I supposed to do on my Monday mornings without the @Chiefs playing?!?

I've never seen such a pointless overreaction and desperate need to "fix" @Google's new icon set from designers.
They're fine. You don't like them because they're different, because they've changed; being overly critical of the design itself is simply avoiding you're (1/4)
You don't like change, and that's fine, nobody really does especially when they have no say in it, but the icons are far better than some want to give them credit for and these great attempts to rectify an issue that doesn't exist simply shows why there's more bad design (3/4)
I dont understand how some graphic designers are so quick to judge a logo purely when it's isolated.
You're either educated to be better than that or you have to teach yourself to be better than that.
#PortfolioDay Not a shameless plug 😅 Visual identity designer; from the logo, to the strategy that allows a brand to talk and exist in the world.

Interested to where the @AFL goes with their current logo. That general shape is fairly good, it speaks to a lot of unique aspects of the game in a simplistic manner. Hate to critique my old boss 😂 but perhaps there's some adjustment to be found in the letterforms.
Today I lost my job so I wrote a blog about what I'm doing tomorrow.

Truthfully, I've got no idea what that step is. I shelved all that desire to be a freelancer and build towards a studio a long time ago, long enough that I feel lost just thinking about it. But I'll figure it out. I'll persist with it enough to do so
Starting tomorrow I'm taking my first steps towards the studio dream. Whether it is a meter or a few cintimeters, I cant sit and wait for opportunity to appear or come to me.
Really loved pulling this project together. Mind back it up with a blog post later this week. jamieryan.net/animals-conser… #graphicdesign #branding

"Only way to do good work is to do good work".
To add, even if that work is unappreciated, even if it doesn't lead to good work tomorrow, even if nothing changes for days, weeks, months even; just do good work. It all comes back to you if you just do good work, always.
"The only way to do good work is to do good work." Always love this Massimo Vignelli quote from @michaelbierut Always good to turn to on days like this.
