Will both Joby and Archer made it to $100B?
Jobby and Archer are ready for expansion, before FAA's final approval Archer to acquire three Boeing subsidiaries — Wisk Aero, Insitu Inc, and SkyGrid — making Boeing its larges shareholder. Joby Aviation answered with a $500M acquisition of Resonan

FCC Banned Foreign-made Robot To Rewrite Robotics and UxV Supply Chain The #PhysicalAI #SupplyChain Report: How the #FCCBan Rewrites Robotics and UxV Sourcing — July 2026 issue is live. On July 29, the FCC banned imports of new foreign-made humanoid robots, quadruped robots, and power inverters. Most coverage treated this as a standalone China story. It isn't. It's the third time in sixteen months the U.S. government has run the exact same playbook — routers in March, drones in December 2025, now robots — and we've already watched this movie once. Executive summary: → The mechanism is identical every time: an FCC Covered List designation freezes new equipment authorizations. Not retroactive. Existing fleets unaffected. But no new models get to market without clearing it. → We already have a template for how this resolves. The December 2025 drone ban swept in more than expected, caused real disruption (Florida grounded $200M of equipment, funded only $25M to replace it), then got a Department of War exemption carve-out on January 7 for anything on the Blue UAS Cleared List. That carve-out is the best predictor of what happens to robotics next. → The ban doesn't touch the real chokepoint. A robot assembled in the U.S. can still be exposed if its actuators trace back to Chinese-controlled refining. → The industry's actual response isn't component swapping — it's vertical integration. Figure, 1X, Apptronik, and Tesla are building motors, batteries, and actuators in-house. Westmag emerged from stealth in June with $11M to do exactly this at the component-supplier level. → There's a boomerang risk almost nobody's discussing: some American and allied robot makers still rely on Chinese components or overseas assembly. This ban could disqualify parts of the industry it was written to protect. This month's defining signal: the FCC didn't create the robotics supply chain problem — it forced the industry to price a dependency it had been quietly carrying since before the humanoid wave started. Full issue covers the complete #NDAA/ #BlueUAS chronology (the direct precedent for what comes next), domain-by-domain funding, the cover story on what this ban unlocks and forecloses, an under-the-radar signal on the next likely chokepoint, and August's outlook. Physical AI Signal Report is published monthly through Physical AI Builders at 50builders.ai, supported by the Physical AI Builders community and F50. #PhysicalAI #Robotics #SupplyChain #FCC #AutonomousSystems #DeepTech #Manufacturing 50builders.ai/p/fcc-banned-f…

This trend will continue for many years
SpaceX put 10 megawatts of solar power in space across 3000 gen1 Starlink satellites, then they put 100 megawatts in space with 7000 gen2. soon, they're doing 1000 megawatts with gen3. SpaceX is basically 10xing space solar every few years!
