Just finished #CrystalLake and really enjoyed it overall. 🌲🏕️🛶 Linda Cardellini is incredible and the score/atmosphere are so great IMO. Also loved all of the frame by frame shots of the original. I actually don’t mind what they did with Jason— I found it interesting but I do prefer the original story. I do feel there was A LOT of filler eps tho & too much time spent on side characters who do not add much to the plot at all. All that said— I really hope there is a second season. Definitely leaves you wanting more!

Agreed. And genuinely one of my fave slashers in a long time— Arguably has some of the best chases scenes I’ve seen in horror, especially for a slasher in YEARS. I’d love to see slashers return to the art of the chase— I’d take that over the ridiculous shock value kills any day.

SICK (2022) is a smart, self-aware slasher with genuinely tense moments and solid chase scenes written by Scream and IKWYDLS writer, Kevin Williamson. Highly recommend. 🔪
