A follow-up ultrasound showed it shifting. He's out vs. Carolina while doctors decide on treatment.
Herbstreit's calf clots ended up in his lungs.
Jalen's is superficial — not the same. But this stopped being about Sunday.

I sat with the latest news on Jalen Hurts last night, and three things weighed on me:
1. Jalen’s health is bigger than football.
2. The competence and allegiance of team’s medical staff’s are questionable.
3. The responsibility of sports media to respect a player’s character.
During my own health struggles in the league, a doctor once threw my test results on the table and said, “Now I’ll listen to you complain,”.
I needed answers then. From ownership, executives, coaches, and medical staff. Those same people should be answering questions in Philly right now.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh and James Jones called out the Philadelphia Eagles for letting Jalen Hurts play with blood clots and depriving him of sleep for 36 hours. This is a perfect example of why NFL players go to private doctors for second opinions, because team doctors are always going to side with the organization and put you out there even if you're not healthy
