This is such a damning publication for a sitting Governor to share.
Is it AI? Is it a joke? are we in a FREAKING simulation? What exactly is going on here?
Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me.
Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me.
It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that.
Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him.
When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks.
In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice.
Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me.
Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood.
Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999.
Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.

I can do a 10 part deep dive series on this run way. Everybody is saying Schiaparelli was on the mood board and that’s true but these are actually George hobieka’s nachos.
They are clever enough to go across seasons tho. We need to do better.

‘AVATAR: SEVEN HAVENS’ Season 1 finale will release on Paramount+ in a few hours.
The series has been renewed up to Season 4.
Seven Havens proves itself as a worthy successor to Last Airbender and Legend of Korra with a powerful, emotional, and thrilling final quartet of episodes.
Our full review: bit.ly/4iv8EUA

ALT Seven Havens ends its first season going for the heart with a powerful quartet of episodes which go very, very dark and answer some big questions while raising others. It’s safe to say after 13 episodes, Seven Havens is a worthy successor to both The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Bring on Book 2. Score: 9

And the structure/architectural spin on the hyperfeminine, opulent couture. Inspiration is fine it’s just that when it’s organic it ends to being flattering. Daniel Roseberry makes that a point. None of these creations, although gorgeous, end up flattering their wearers. It ends up seeming contrived/incoherent. The craftsmanship is impressive though, clearly the best on the continent. They just need to develop their own unique flair or vision.
I know Schiaparelli was on the mood board and pinned to the wall. Nigerian designers need to stop stealing other people’s ideas and content.

ENUGU STATE: LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE AND BUILDING A UNITED NIGERIA
Following yesterday’s (29th October) town hall meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, I proceeded to Enugu State, where we held another town hall meeting as part of our ongoing nationwide engagement.
I was joined by my brother and Vice Presidential Candidate of our party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In Enugu, we met with our teeming supporters and enthusiastic citizens who lined the streets and besieged the venue in their numbers.
In our conversations, including the contributions from our Vice Presidential Candidate and me, we reiterated our commitment to uniting and securing the country, tackling corruption, massively investing in critical areas of development, particularly health and education, and pulling our people out of poverty.
Shortly before the town hall event, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu Chapter, where we reaffirmed our commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Leadership must be about listening to the people. Those seeking to lead must understand what Nigerians need and be willing to receive feedback on the impact of government policies and decisions.
I thank our teeming supporters, party members and organisers for their dedication and commitment. I also thank the good people of Enugu State for their warm reception.
A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO
