"No, sir," said Vance. He looked like he wanted to crawl out of his skin and plastered on that fake, unconvincing smile that he uses whenever he's uncomfortable. "I said that too." "You know, who would believe that? I don't talk about it with him, he doesn't talk about it. It's early," said Trump. "We are very early right now. We have to get through the midterms. We'll see how it goes." This is quintessential Trump. He treats his lackeys like dirt and makes them viciously vie for his approval and love. Anyone with dignity would bristle at this kind of treatment, but Vance laps it up from his little bowl and begs for more, because he is just that desperate for power. It's entirely possible that Trump will end up endorsing his evil, warmongering Secretary of State Marco Rubio for President, one of his children, or no one at all. As for Vance's presidential dreams, good luck pal. What are you going to run on? Mindlessly supporting your boss as he launched a deeply unpopular war on behalf of Israel? Or maybe you can campaign on the fact that this administration continues to cover up the Epstein files because Trump is implicated in them? Or maybe you can run on the fact that you owe your entire political career to Peter Thiel, a psychopathic techno-fascist who might be the literal antichrist? We know one thing for damn sure.
