Delayed greens are just better for actual basketball gameplay. Instant feedback tells everyone the possession is over before the ball even reaches the rim, which leads to dumb leak outs and players completely abandoning rebounding position. Make everyone play the possession through. Box out, crash the glass, get back in transition, and react to the actual shot instead of a green flash on your screen. You can still show the green afterward, but nobody should know the result before the ball gets there.
