The greatest power is not the power to dominate. It's the power to build a future that works for everyone. Our shared future will be forged by whether humanity can govern power wisely. Together, let's meet this challenge with determination & resolve for a better world for all.

Is it okay to cry at work? "Ultimately, to cry is to be human, and being human is central to being a doctor. Having said that, context is clearly important." bmj.com/content/394/bmj-2026…

Education is a fundamental human right. But exercising that right is becoming increasingly dangerous. In the past two years, more than 8,500 attacks targeted schools, students & teachers. All countries must ensure the right to education for every child & protect schools & places of learning.

This is not a simple protest. They wear their former uniforms and remind the world who they were, and who they still are. “I was a doctor.” “I was a police officer.” “I was a teacher.” “I was a university student.” “I was an athlete.” “I was a supporter.” Today, the Taliban have pushed them out of their jobs, education, and public life. Yet these Afghan women members of Women’s Courage Movement continue to raise their voices from a small room in Kabul. They have lost their freedom, but they have not lost their courage. Their voices must be heard. Where is the UN? #WomenCourageMovement #FreeAfghanistan

It’s important to remember attacking scientists, teachers, universities and other “elites” is one of the oldest political strategies in the book. What seems especially pronounced now is the suggestion that expertise itself is evidence of corruption Hot take: It is in fact, not

While civility was maintained throughout, objectively this Q&A interview with the TOP leader was a train wreck. Simplistic responses trying to defend land tax, higher income tax, & job cuts in public sector. Fantasy posing as policy. youtu.be/c9YV3hc6cVk?si=dD8o… via @YouTube #nzpol

Maybe this Jason Arday nightmare might be a wake up call for the UK to snap out of these stupid culture wars and just get back to being rational and decent human beings again. Too much to hope I suppose.

Desperately sad news this evening about Jason Arday. I really feel for his family. So many questions need asking about due diligence processes. I feel really sick about the whole horrendous situation.
