His name is Max Phakamile Mankazana, a son of Erma and Walter Mankazana from Soweto. This man is my dad. I look just like him; I only took my mother's complexion. My dad was always there for us until the day he was shot eight times by a man who lived directly opposite our home. And guess what? Today, that very man is one of the MKP councillor candidates in one of the branches in Zola, under the City of Johannesburg, by the name of Derrick Dlamini. My dad was a provider and a police officer by profession. He provided for his family until he was taken away from us by people who felt entitled to his life. He was robbed from his six children and wife. 💔 This stole a part of me that really means the world to me. But today, he wants to lead an entire community under his banner. Whenever I think about it, I get so angry. But the woman who raised me, my mother, Cynthia Mankazana, taught me how to pray and forgive.
