Such a powerful exhibition about and by @DavidHarewood as part of @HarewoodHouse Missing Portraits exhibition. Firm unfaltering steps towards addressing the imbalance and injustices in our historic homes. An example to all of them.

Saw the @britishmuseum #Legion exhibition on Saturday and recognised the illustration work of the wonderful Rosey Taylor! Plus design by Matt Bigg. Enjoyed it very much, although it's certainly a sobering theme.

I ruined this album release for my students by making it a lesson on apostrophe usage.

A question from a customer today…why don’t you say the word “staff”? It’s simple. At Timpson we believe everyone is equally important and the word “staff” implies some people are more important than others. Instead we use the word “colleague”.

Plentiful and excellent examples for @museumbums at @allard_pierson #Amsterdam. But best of all is the gallery’s title. Couldn’t agree more.@

Such simple interpretation in the #MuseumToilets🚽 @V_and_A but it turns the cubicle into an exhibit! Love it ❤️

I'm delighted that I can now share that I won the Heritage award. This isn't just a win for me but for all our wonderful @Curating4Change fellows and for others who are trying to make a change in the museum sector to better represent disabled D/deaf and neurodivergent people
Congratulations to Esther Fox @AppleyardFox who is the National Lottery Awards Heritage winner for 2023 👏 Esther has been recognised for her incredible support and leadership to make museums more accessible with the @Curating4Change project 👉heritagefund.org.uk/videos/e… #NLAwards

"Are the books real?" This question is coming up more & more often on tours of Marsh's Library. Actual physical, in-person tours when people are 2 feet away from the books. It's as if some people are so used to living online that they can't quite understand physical reality.

Following today's Nobel Prize in Physics announcement, we thought we'd save you all a Google search. Attosecond (noun) at-to-sec-ond One quintillionth of a second. An attosecond is to a second what a second is to the age of the universe 🤯 #NobelPrize

After a summer of wildfire and floods, and records broken here in the UK, yesterday's announcement is barely fathomable. Future generations will ask why, after these stark signs, the government would put this country’s global leadership on climate change into reverse. Fairness should absolutely be central to any change, but it is not fair that our children will have their future blighted by the poor decisions made today. It isn't fair that businesses that have invested heavily in pioneering green technologies and the jobs of tomorrow will have to put their plans on ice, nor that changes in policy endanger our much-loved cultural heritage and natural environment, undermining everything from food security to our health and wellbeing. And it isn't fair that the poorest in our society will lose out most in the future. Progress towards Net Zero must be sustained, not kicked down the road for political expediency. We urge the Prime Minister and his Government to rethink.

These are a brilliant addition to play spaces, also ones with @MakatonCharity signs on. I'm collecting examples for a project I'm working on, please reply with any you've seen 🙏 🙂 thanks x
My old boss said to me "but children just play at the park" my response "do you talk to your grandchildren when they go to the park? Obviously they use speech to communicate, but what if they couldn't?" We need to be more #communicationaccessible in our country 🙏 #AAC

Delighted that @burrellcollect won @ArtsFund last night. I was so impressed by the interpretation but also the warmth of welcome and staff when I visited.

Since having heard about the newly refurbished Burrell Collection, I was eager to see it myself. I was struck by their use of reparative interpretation. In this case, a label highlights a queer connection.

Today I will mostly be thinking about the text strategy for heritage interpretation at Exeter Cathedral.
