We have designated ChatGPT as a Very Large Online Search Engine and Reddit and Roblox as Very Large Online Platforms under the Digital Services Act.
They now have four months to comply with additional DSA obligations.

The EU AI Act's Article 50 takes effect August 2, 2026, requiring disclosure on AI-generated or AI-altered content, including ads, deepfakes, chatbots, and public-interest text, reaching EU audiences. For nearly 80 years, mathematicians believed the best possible solutions looked roughly like square grids.
An OpenAI model has now disproved that belief, discovering an entirely new family of constructions that performs better.
This marks the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics.

We’re adding new ways for people to identify AI-generated images and understand where they came from.
In addition to C2PA Content Credentials, images now also contain a SynthID watermark, and can be identified using a public verification tool to check whether an image was made by OpenAI products.
