Cedric Casino Anderson, 48, residing in north Minneapolis has been charged with 5th degree non-consensual sexual contact.
Charges say on Monday he approached a female Mall of America custodian and asked to borrow her mop because he made a mess washing his feet in the family bathroom😶
The custodian declined but went to the restroom to mop it herself. Anderson made "small talk" briefly then groped the victim's buttocks with his hand. Anderson then told the victim he was "joking."
Anderson is currently on probation for felony 3rd degree assault after he was sentenced on January 26, 2026. In that case, Anderson approached a female in an alley and tried to solicit sex from her. When the victim refused, Anderson stabbed her. In the presentence interview, Anderson stated, "I did what [she] said I did." Anderson's 3-year prison sentence was stayed under a plea agreement with Mary Moriarty's office crafted by lead prosecutor Andrew Delain that downgraded the charge from 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and was agreed to by Judge Julia Dayton Klein.
Anderson was also previously convicted of felony domestic assault by strangulation in 2017.
Anderson has prior convictions for indecent exposure, and violation of an offensive conduct ordinance, as well as being previously committed as mentally ill, and mentally ill and chemically dependent.
Anderson remains in custody.
