I want to see how strong him and Terapagos have gotten! You owe me a battle too, you know. I know you're both training to become the top trainers in the world, just like I am... so I'd better start getting ready, because I know our paths are gonna cross again really soon!

They say time mends all wounds, and I've been taking time to try to work on how I view myself so that I can be a more helpful friend for him in the future... when I know I'm ready to see him again. I hope we can build a new rivalry when we see each other again.

Every time I saw him struggle, a part of me blamed myself for it. I ended up dreading having to talk to him, even though I care about him so much... so I left. I hope you cam understand that, even if it's selfish.

Even after our adventures in Area Zero, I felt a rift between us and I desperately wanted to mend it. I see now that things can never go back to how they were. Things change all the time, and so do people. I suppose the important thing is accepting those changes, but...

Seeing how much I hurt him without meaning to hurt me too. For a while, I only thought of it as us pushing each other to be the very best we can be, but... as I've gotten older, I realized how destructive it all was. For him and for me.

The truth is, I'm still not sure how I feel about everything that happened between me and him, even though it happened so long ago...

I'm not going to make excuses for myself, but I wasn't in a very good place... and I thought being around you and Kieran when I cracked would've been disastrous.

I feel like I owe you an explanation about my behavior the last time we met. I mean, what kind of friend just leaves without saying goodbye?

Carmine, It's great to hear from you! I'm glad to hear you and Kieran are doing well! Are you really training all the way up in Sinnoh these days? You'd better be staying warm!
