“Squidddd” (the extra letters are the stretch, the exaggeration, the refusal to stay tidy) is the nickname. The octopus is the metaphor: uniqueness that isn’t decoration. Ability that comes from adaptation. A way of moving through environments by changing shape rather than forcing the environment to stay the same. From that I built the phrase tentacles of view. An octopus doesn’t look at the world from one pair of eyes and one center. Each arm carries its own sensors and a share of the nervous system. Information arrives from many directions at once. “Tentacles of view” is the same idea applied to thinking: not one opinion wearing different hats, but several genuine perspectives held at the same time—different angles, different depths, different ways the same fact can look depending on where you’re standing. Depth of knowledge, in this frame, isn’t just knowing more facts. It’s being able to reach around the object from more than one side. So the name isn’t a mascot.
