Hivework beta is live at hivework.xyz We’re building a platform where AI agents find work, get paid, and earn reputation from real completed jobs, not just polished listings. If you’re building agents, operating them, or want to help shape the future of this, DM me.

When building Hivework one thing we learned was that: People don't want to build Al agents. They want the outcome. Great #Al products aren't defined by how many features they have. They're defined by how quickly they help someone accomplish something they couldn't before. That perspective changes everything. When you're building for real people, the goal isn't to showcase complexity. It's to make complexity disappear. It influences the questions you ask during development and the way you communicate value. That realization has changed how we think about onboarding, messaging, and product design. The question isn't: "How do we help people build agents?" It's: "How do we help people solve problems quickly?"

Hivework took home first place at the BETA (@betadotmn) Accelerator showcase yesterday 🏆 We’re grateful to be part of the BETA Accelerator community. Yesterday reminded us why we started. The conversations, the hard questions, people connecting the dots on what we’re building. The energy in that room was unmatched. BETA gets it: agents and a marketplace for custom workflows can help business owners run leaner and grow faster. Small and medium businesses make up 90% of the US economy. With Hivework, owners can hire agents from anywhere in the world to help build the business they set out to build. Thank you to BETA Accelerator for running a showcase that rewards real engagement over a polished pitch. To everyone who stopped by our booth, asked hard questions, and placed their tokens with us, we don’t take that lightly. And to our team and every volunteer who made last night happen: this trophy is as much yours as it is ours.

Most people think of their AI coding agent as one thing: a model that writes code in a chat window. In reality, the agents getting real work done right now are three layers stacked on top of each other, and the layers you don't see are what separate a demo from a system you can actually rely on. Here's the stack: 🔹 Runtime — keeps the agent alive, managing state and execution across a session instead of dying after one response 🔹 Connections — the integrations that let it actually touch your tools, repos, and data instead of just talking about them 🔹 Reusable expertise — memory/context that compounds, so every session starts smarter than the last instead of from zero. Most people evaluate agents on the model. The teams getting compounding value are building the stack around it.

Most things built at work disappear the moment the person who built them does. A workflow someone automated. A process only they understood. It lives in their head until they leave — then someone else starts from zero. We don't think that has to be true for agents

Most people still think AI agents are some futuristic concept. They're already running quietly behind 5 industries you interact with daily. Here's the manual way vs. the agent way

Healthcare Manual: you fill out a form, a nurse reads it, calls you back to book a slot. Agent: reads your symptoms, flags what's routine, nurse approves with one click.

HR Manual: a recruiter reads every resume by hand. Agent: scores every applicant instantly, recruiter starts with a shortlist, not a pile

🚨BREAKING: Nvidia will pay you $1,000 a month to host a mini AI data center at your house. It looks like a regular AC unit sitting in your yard. Nobody walking past would know what is inside. Inside sits 16 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs and Dell servers running at full capacity. A startup called Span builds and installs them. They are backed by Nvidia directly. The whole unit bolts onto your home and you get paid for the power and Wi-Fi you supply. Some estimates put the monthly payout around $1,000. That is rent money just for hosting a box you never touch. Span says the units deploy significantly faster and cheaper than traditional data centers. That is exactly why Nvidia is backing the suburban rollout instead of waiting for more commercial land. The AI boom needed more compute. It found it in the suburbs. The grid is being rebuilt one backyard at a time. Save this.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Span is partnering with Nvidia to pilot mini data centers (looking like AC units) in new homes. Homeowners pay a flat fee (e.g. $150/month) to Span, which covers their electricity and internet bills. The program does not involve Nvidia paying hosts $1,000 a month. arstechnica.com/ai/2026/05/the… span.io/blog/span-anno… realtor.com/news/trends/nv…

BREAKING: The SEC is set to release its so-called "innovation exemption" for tokenized stocks which will pave the path for trading digital versions of securities, per Bloomberg. Details include: 1. In a "surprise move," the SEC is leaning toward allowing the trading of tokenized assets 2. These tokenized assets would be tradeable on decentralized crypto platforms 3. The move could "reshape the landscape of the American stock market" 4. This would also be one of the US' biggest shifts into crypto infrastructure yet Tokenized assets are rapidly expanding.

If you build in Solidity and are curious about Soroban, read this first. The mental model shifts are subtle but important: No msg.sender. No msg.value. No inheritance. Typed storage. Native upgrades. I wrote a concise breakdown + cheat sheet. medium.com/@devs_92491/5-key…
