Are Liverpool fans proud of how their team plays? Like do they actually enjoy what they’re watching?

Liverpool have committed more fouls this season than any other team in the Premier League. Arsenal are joint 17th.
Liverpool rank joint fourth in the league for yellow cards. Arsenal are joint 17th and Liverpool have one red card to Arsenal's none.
Arsenal's highest entry in the most fouls committed by a player in the league is Myles Lewis Skelly at 34th, joint with Szoboszlai. There are four Liverpool players who have committed more than MLS.
This is fan fic nonsense.
Sunday merely served to reinforce the belief that Liverpool as a team are far too nice.
There’s a difference between being streetwise and cheating. It wasn’t pretty, but Arsenal produced a masterclass in the former in the second half on Sunday.
Andoni Iraola was clear post-match that there will be a change of approach. He will tell his players to start going to ground when they are impeded in the box.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but needs must.

Opta have analysed 442 Premier League games at Anfield, covering every season since 2003/04.
This is the first time Liverpool have failed to register a shot on target in those 442 matches.

Hi again David, you’ve not been in touch yet. But call or email and I’ll tell you the names of the journalists briefed by City, and links to their stories. You can then, if you choose, report those details in your next BBC-funded podcast.

This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP.

You are completely missing the point of the parallel. Nobody is claiming City players took physical drugs, the comparison to Lance Armstrong is about the psychology and structure of systematic sports fraud.
Armstrong didn't just "have a better bike." He ran a sophisticated, underground program to bypass regulations, then spent a decade gaslighting the public using the exact same script City uses now:
▫️Hiding behind clean historical tests/audits.
▫️Smearing investigators as a "bitter cartel political witch hunt."
▫️Using on-field excellence ("we train harder" / "we play beautiful football") to mask administrative deception.
In cycling, physical doping forced clean athletes to dope or accept permanent defeat. In football, financial doping forces self-sustaining clubs to spend beyond their means and risk bankruptcy just to stay competitive.
City didn't build a "better bike" within the rules. They built a bike with a hidden, illicit engine powered by an £830M disguised funding scheme, falsified their ledgers to hide it, and got convicted on 114 counts of sports fraud. It is the exact same blueprint.
Comparing Manchester City to Lance Armstrong is absolutely miles off it. 🤣
He PHYSICALLY doped and gave him an unfair advantage that no amount of training or equipment could match. It wasn’t a case as simple as him having a better bike or equipment to gain a slight advantage.
City did not dope or use PEDs. The advantage came from (compared to some clubs but not others) more investment and also just far better investment in the squad, infrastructure, coaching etc. essentially building a better ‘bike’ in the process and then using it more effectively than other teams on the whole.

I'd feel bad for Man Utd but whenever I remember Gary Neville always talking sh.t about Arsenal, Evra calling us Netflix FC, van Der Sar saying Raya isn't a top goalie, & the onfield injustice Wenger faced over the years, I just keep wishing for their continued downfall.

I must say, it was difficult hearing the hurt in Gary Neville's voice at the end of that game, so I turned up the volume on the TV and could hear it much better.

I can't get over all these footballers posting a leaflet asking for £340k for a kid that needs lifesaving surgery. Have a whip round lads, that's £13.5k each between a 25-man squad of millionaires.

Hip fracture outcome is a bellwether for a whole hospital. It relies on prompt processes, good surgery and anaesthesia, management and avoidance (when possible) of delirium and other complications, ortho-geriatrician input, nutrition, physio, OT and effective discharge planning.

Big night for Spurs.
If they beat Coventry, they will finally have won more league games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2026 than Eberechi Eze.

Liverpool’s last 4 results at the City Ground in the Premier League since Forest were promoted:
2026: Forest 0-1 Liverpool (MacAllister 97’)
2025: Forest 1-1 Liverpool (Wood 8’ - Jota 66’)
2024: Forest 0-1 Liverpool (Nunez 99’)
2022: Forest 1-0 Liverpool (Awoniyi 55’)
Don’t think there’s a bigger gaslighting fanbase than Liverpool.
