Rural Gwent has gone from the usual 2–3 murders a year to 11 in the first 10 months of 2026 a 270% surge. Police are stretched, overtime is maxed, and locals in places like Blaina say you barely see officers on the streets any more.

In Ireland, they are sending someone to prison for two years over speech.
He called refugees "rape-ugees".
While he is in prison, there are two Jordanian refugees in court for the alleged rape and false imprisonment of an 18-year-old girl who got lost on a night out in Galway.
Graham Carey (42), who referred to refugees as “rape-ugees” and was said to have threatened to throw their “bleeding corpses into the sea”, has been jailed for the maximum term of two years for incitement to hatred.

So Fine Gael Senator believes if you can afford to go on holidays you must have a few quid and a little bit of extra tax won’t bother you. Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil will tax us out of existence in this country.
It’s mind blowing that @FineGael Sen. Paraic Brady genuinely felt we would be ok with a carbon tax on our holidays abroad because somehow a holiday is a choice not that important. It’s ok for Paraic who is on a good salary and expenses. Listen to this but it will make you angry.
