Last year consultants in England achieved so much in our fight for fair pay, but still face 26% pay erosion. Why should we work 3 months of the year for free? ✅ Update your BMA details 📣 Be ballot ready 🔗 brnw.ch/21wS2cg

Arguably in today's NHS leaders are chosen *because* they won't speak up. Trust CEOs, for example, are paid to oversee the collapse of services, keep quiet, and resign if necessary (with a hefty golden parachute) to deflect blame from the government.

I keep hearing of folk voting in favour of this offer. Just remember, it prevents the DDRB looking at historic losses, writes off the 17.8% of longest serving consultants, & divides the profession, trainees from consultants. If you still like it, you deserve what you get.

This is a disaster! This deal: ▪️Ignores the longest-serving consultants (17.8% of total) ▪️Ignores new consultants ▪️Formalises our 40% pay losses ▪️Prevents DDRB from looking at historical pay cuts ▪️Lets managers control pay progression ▪️Divides the profession #ChuckItOut
The referendum on the new Government pay offer for consultants in England is now open. All eligible members will receive a voting form by email today. The closing date for you to vote is 23 January. Before you vote, take a look at the offer in full 👇 bma.org.uk/our-campaigns/con…

The Doctors Committee has evaluated the consultant offer - #VoteNO Voting opens on 14th 4 critical flaws More power to anti-dr managers on pay Training MAPs built into job plans Critical flaw in DDRB reformation Real terms pay cut for many consultants The status quo is better.
