Globalize the Intifada is far more outwardly violent and aggressive than blackface is. When you hear that phrase, do you take into account the person's prior statements as context for what they mean? Or are they just resisting with words in your world?

Like you can't just rip everything out of historical/societal/cultural context. You can't say "intent either matters for all speech/behaviour EVER or it doesn't matter AT ALL" Some things, due to context and words having meaning, have more credible potential definitions or implications than others!

Mayor who allows Muslim extremists to take over the streets every weekend is confused how Anti Semitic actions are occuring. Clown show.
This is an outrageous and vile act of antisemitism. This is a public supportive housing building for seniors. They deserve to live in peace without fear of being targeted for being Jewish. I will be reaching out to TSCH leadership to investigate this how this could happen. Jewish Torontonians deserve to live in peace and safety. Thank you Councillor Pasternak for connecting residents to the police who are investigating.

What was in the Epstein Binders that they gave those influencers and why wasn't it released to the public if there is nothing to the story?

You know what's funny? I keep seeing this one touted, but when you look at the raw data the religion of people wasn't asked. Go look at the detailed tables. angusreid.org/wp-content/upl… Hmmm....

Also, half of Canada's Jewish population wants a ceasefire! I'm so sick of non-Jewish, Zionist columnists trying to pretend that Zionism and Judaism are one and the same. That's really harmful!

Every time a Liberal influencer locks the replies, it's because they know they will be ratio'd into next week. Rachel doesn't understand that most people in Canada don't support Hamas led terrorism.
It's genuinely insane that CBC waited 20 paragraphs to mention that Toronto St. Paul voters TOLD them the "Isr*el-Ham*s conflict" was one of their "sore spots" this byelection. And they still left it OUT of an earlier graph outlining issues driving "voter discontent!" The fuck?

There is a reason they always turn off the comments.
Hospitals and medical workers must always be safe to provide important services for patients and their families. Last night's protest route in front of the Mount Sinai hospital had a negative impact and that's troubling and wrong in a society that cherishes freedom of assembly and the right to protest, as well as the right to feel safe. Yet also troubling and wrong is the rush to label protesters as antisemitic and/or terrorist sympathizers. If police determine any action was motivated by hate, then it should be unequivocally condemned because there can be no justification for antisemitism. Not ever. Just as there should be no excuse for the indiscriminate killing of any and all innocent men, women, and children -- which is what demonstrators were actually protesting. Anyone who condemns one but not the other is demonstrating to all of us how Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism operate to devalue the lives of those deemed less than human and unworthy of protections, including those afforded by international humanitarian law. Let's not forget that Canadian Palestinians with family in Gaza have watched in horror as their loved ones, their friends and neighbours, have been bombed, starved, displaced, maimed and killed these past four months - with no end in sight to this madness. Thousands of Canadians from coast to coast to coast of every faith and background are also devastated by the violence and forceful displacement they are witnessing on their screens every day. Many have joined the hundreds of peaceful protests that have taken place across the country. And many report being silenced and/or having faced repercussions for standing up in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, in the past two weeks alone, there have been reports of hate-motivated graffiti found on an Islamic Centre in Cambridge, Islamophobic graffiti left outside the prayer room of a provincial government building, and a Muslim woman assaulted and robbed in Mississauga. Where are the condemnations of these acts? Enough with the double standards. Everyone, everywhere, deserves to live in safety, with dignity, and in freedom.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what an engagement troll on X looks like. Matt is right, we should never progress as a species. Let's move back into the caves.
This is the point I’ve been trying to make for years. People act like the modern capitalist system has created this demand that they work. What the hell do you people think life was like prior to this system? Literally every hour of every day was work and then you died.

The presidents of @Harvard, @MIT, and @Penn were all asked the following question under oath at today’s congressional hearing on antisemitism: Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate [your university’s] code of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment? The answers they gave reflect the profound moral bankruptcy of Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth. Representative @EliseStefanik was so shocked with the answers that she asked each of them the same question over and over again, and they gave the same answers over and over again. In short, they said: It ‘depends on the context’ and ‘whether the speech turns into conduct,’ that is, actually killing Jews. This could be the most extraordinary testimony ever elicited in the Congress, certainly on the topic of genocide, which to remind us all is: “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group” The presidents’ answers reflect the profound educational, moral and ethical failures that pervade certain of our elite educational institutions due in large part to their failed leadership. Don’t take my word for it. You must watch the following three minutes. By the end, you will be where I am. They must all resign in disgrace. If a CEO of one of our companies gave a similar answer, he or she would be toast within the hour. Why has antisemitism exploded on campus and around the world? Because of leaders like Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth who believe genocide depends on the context. To think that these are the leaders of Ivy League institutions that are charged with the responsibility to educate our best and brightest. On the bright side, our congressional leaders deserve accolades for showing tremendous leadership and moral clarity in their statements, by the questions they asked, and the respectfulness with which they conducted the hearing. It was a masterclass of how our government and democracy should operate. If you have time, please watch the entire hearing. Throughout the hearing, the three behaved like hostile witnesses, exhibiting a profound disdain for the Congress with their smiles and smirks, and their outright refusal to answer basic questions with a yes or no answer.
