Considering reusing 1/3 acre plot for fruits and veggies. Had Claude whip up a 3d webgpu visualization. Loaded GIS LIDAR scans, building shapes, auto layout based on counter lines, all this AM.
Also - 1/3 acre planted tightly is overwhelming work.
yesterday's adventures with AI: ChatGPT found a 15% tax mistake in my favor - discovered a reverse split on it's own that we never documented. Claude given the same prompt found nothing of interest.
Today's fun adventures with AI: setup some 10+ year old speakers I had in a closet, ChatGPT ran REW sweeps with a calibrated UMIK, and created some PEQ filters to tame a nasty 54hz hump and 110hz bump. Sounds great!
Love having a small business as an applied lab for AI. Getting better data to _actually_ do things with has been amazing. Here's my real dashboard with fake numbers.
❤️ Google MCP for Ads, wanted a more. Created GAMM - Google Ads MCP Manager. Allows write changes to Ads, but only with approval. Let's multiple agents read, approval queue for people on changes. github.com/asphaltanchors/ga…
I can not get over what I am getting done every day with AI as a SMB owner. The last 24 hours I launched new product page template, new teaser for product in development, data warehouse to better manage ad spend, bot actually fixed 2 significant ad errors,
I’ve been using this _terrible_ software on windows to export quickbooks desktop to CSV. I just realized today - why don’t I install chatgpt on windows and have it go at it. Chatgpt is busy writing C# code to export all the data with a nice CLI. Amazing.
My driveway is a longish dirt road. I've heard the amazon truck beeping it's way back for at least a few min now. I'm afraid to go check.
No amount of skills files seems able to help poor Codex write reasonable UIs. Even pointing out every thing I find it is 2 steps forward 1.9 steps back. Brought in Fable 5.1 and it managed to fix everything 1-shot across a dozen pages.
I may be getting a little overly familiar with my various AI agents. I just told codex 'Do it. enjoy. Live, laugh, love'. Codex in it's minimalist way just coded, no funny reply.
Giving grok bot a try, and frankly blow away (thanks @jasonfreedman).
Got a sales agent finding prospects, a data analyst agent using tailscale to talk to my postgres analytics db, an operations manager reconciling order emails and shopify actuals, <60 min in.
Been using Omarchy as primary machine for ~36 hours. Already customized weather to use my Tempest station, 2 PR for a Proxmox plugin, got Fusion 360 running in WINE (thanks to great online instructions), and got real work done too.
As a small business owner, I can’t imagine working without AI. Latest: an auditable inventory model that analyzes sales, seasonality, lead times, open POs and demand to recommend what to reorder, how much and when. 76 DBT models. NextJS frontend.
