Closer look at the Tesla Cybercab in Owings Mills. Looks like it’s from Florida and has a steering wheel. Maybe an earlier build that needs specialized service or being shifted to do mapping up here. Mapping is what they’re doing in Dundalk and all around Baltimore at this point according to Tesla staff. Nice to see in person finally - it’s splendid!

.@OpenAI @ChatGPT Astra High working on a high complexity task in Codex across backend, iOS and web front end and compliance stuff for 50m so far and used the equivalent of 35% of a Plus account's weekly limits. I'm not mad considering what it's doing for me that I don't want to 😁 and don't have the time in my lifetime to do though. Dreams must be built!

Pre-AI, this would be weeks or months of work for multiple devs and PMs (mostly over-PM'ing and excessive meetings) - decades of Sr SWE experience tells me. So it's a steal if you're actually using it.

Just found out Tesla Baltimore in Owings Mills doesn’t even offer Cybertruck demo drives anymore! Is Tesla drawing down on the Cybertruck? Also, I’m not special enough for a loaner for a few hours, but at least they’re trying:

I see Tesla finally started embargoing Tesla influencers like I’ve been saying so they’re not irritating the peasants and not wasting the crescendo of excitement. But then the botched it by only allowing SuperGrok Heavy users access to Grok Bot in their Tesla’s. 🤷‍♂️ At least they’ve also hinted that it’s coming to other tiers eventually. nitter.cf/dirtytesla/status/2102…

Grok Bot has just officially launched in @Tesla vehicles. I got early access a couple weeks ago. You can order stuff on online (such as Amazon), manage your email, calendar, finances, or other tasks through Grok @Bot using just your voice in your Tesla. There is no separate app, everything just lives within the existing Grok Voice interface in your Tesla (as shown in my Model Y below). One good use case for Grok Bot in your Tesla: You get in, tell Grok Bot to order coffee at a location of your choice, and while your Tesla drives you to the coffee shop using FSD (Supervised), Grok places the order so it’s ready when you arrive. Grok Bot in Tesla vehicles is currently only available to SuperGrok Heavy users, but will expand to more owners later. Connectors are available to all users.

If you like resets, people, imagine what that means when it’s on a 5x or 20x @ChatGPT Codex subscription (Pro, yall)! You’re probably getting $400-8000 worth of AI compute if it were a Plus (or Pro Lite, for Pro Heavy people) subscription for $100-200 this month! If you’re really using it wisely like a good Sr SWE, compare that to probably 1-5 years of a fast dev’s work pre-AI coding agents. So maybe $70-200K or $350K-1M depending on what you could get a junior to do and where they lived. It’s crazy! Is my math wrong, experienced devs?

The pace at which we moved from accepting that we pay a dev / some devs thousands per period to get things done to some being actually upset about the same work costing a $100-200/mo subscription is the most obvious evidence of the breakneck advancement of AI and the size of the reality gap between those that have accepted/incorporated it (genuinely) and those that have not or refuse to.
