Acton’s mother lost custody of her children after her husband was charged with sexually abusing Acton as a child.

The problem with the whole “good guy with a gun" mantra is that it doesn't come into play until AFTER people start getting shot.
When I was in HS, I did a school project on Mass Shooters and remember reading that the girl who bought the guns for the Columbine shooter said she wouldn’t have done it if there were background checks. World would look a lot different today.
If you’re buying a gun, do a quick background check on the household. If someone in the household has a history of behavioral, criminal, or mental issues- you’re denied. Would have prevented 99% of mass shootings.
