The @mybmc urges residents in Mumbai, Thane and Bhiwandi to boil water for 7 days:
BMC has completed repairs to Compartment 2 of the Yewai Master Balancing Reservoir at the Pise-Panjrapur water complex. The compartment will be commissioned on Wednesday, October 28. As the process could affect water quality, residents in parts of Mumbai city, the eastern suburbs, and areas of Thane and Bhiwandi supplied by the BMC have been advised to boil and filter drinking water for the next seven days.

If Amazon Prime Video changes a feature for millions of paying customers, why should the remedy go only to the one customer who takes it to court? Shouldn't the court order compensation to ALL customers who were in the Rs.1499 "ad-free" plan? A consumer protection system should not make individual litigation the price of obtaining redress for a potentially widespread unfair practice.

Important update: Plz save the numbers.
With recurring technical glitches affecting the 101 emergency helpline operated through MTNL, the Mumbai Fire Brigade has introduced five alternative mobile numbers.

My wife had ordered something from a prominent e-commerce company. The delivery was happening yesterday. The e-commerce company has tie-up with delivery start-up for that. When the delivery guy was trying to call my wife again and again, after eighth call, she told “kahan hai tu”. This seems to have triggered that delivery chap. When he arrived at my location, he started hitting my wife. I have CCTV recording of it. My guard and neighbour intervened to save my wife. And while leaving delivery guy threatened: “Mai toh local hu. Tu yahin rahegi. Kabhi toh bahar niklegi, Mai Dekhlunga.”
My wife tried to make SOS call to delivery company for 3 hours after that. And every time it was transferred to AI agent.
For now my wife has registered a complaint against the e-commerce company, the delivery company and the delivery person at Maidan Garhi PS, New Delhi.
Hope @DelhiPolice acts on it on priority basis. Women safety can’t be delayed.
Also I expect timely intervention from all companies involved in this.

i want max number of people to enjoy heirloom indian mul cotton and weaves like ikat (dye technique), jamdani (feels like air woven in - most complex weave ever), slub cotton (type of yarn), and kala cotton x bhujodi weave (indigenous cotton with slightly coarse feel). I personally have been wearing hand woven textiles past 8-9 years and have developed a knack about judging and sourcing fabrics, including readymade stuff. The usual impression is that handloom is expensive, the reality is that you get all kinds of stuff with cambric mul cotton shirts selling as low as Rs 600-700 straight from artisans. Instead of gate keeping, and if this gathers enough momentum, i will share a short package (a guide with step by step instructions) about where to source and what kind of weave you should be looking for. Lmk if you want it.
